He calls you daughter….

Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day to walk in gratitude and thanks for all we have been blessed with, and for the goodness of the Lord that you will continue to see. The Lord has been good to you, but He isn’t finished yet. There is still more to come. Hold steady. Grab your handrail of faith. God is working on your behalf and your children’s behalf.

As I read through Luke, my mind right now is on faith, so I am noticing something that I knew, but never stopped to ponder. As Jesus heals people, He tells them that it was their faith that healed them. He says this again and again!

A soldier said to Jesus that He knew he could heal His daughter without even coming to his home. He recognized Jesus’ authority and said to Jesus, if you say it, it will be done. Jesus said “I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” When the soldier returned home, his daughter was healed.

A sinful woman anointed his feet with perfume and Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

A woman who had been sick and bleeding for 12 years knew that if she could just touch Jesus’ cloak, she would be healed.” Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

He asked a blind beggar what He could do for him and the man said, “Lord, I want to see.” and Jesus said, ” All right, receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.

Jesus is saying the same thing again and again as He heals and saves. He is saying, “Your faith has healed you. Your faith has set you free.”

Faith is an important part of experiencing the fullness of everything God has in store for us. Believe and keep believing. Hold on tightly even when you haven’t had your prayers answered. Be like the persistent widow, keep praying. Keep entering His Presence and letting Him know what your needs are. Pray for an increase of your faith like the father of the possessed boy whom Jesus said nothing will be impossible for those who believe and the man said, “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief!”

Jesus is telling us something as we read of His mighty miracles. He is showing us that great faith moves mountains. That when people pushed through the multitudes of crowds, and moved everything out of the way so that they could see Him, touch Him, talk to Him, their faith in His power and their willingness to go after Him despite everything standing in their way, brought healing power and made room in their heart for Jesus to perform mighty miracles on their behalf.

Seek Him today with everything you’ve got. Push through the crowd, remove the distractions, speak truth to the lies that feed doubt, cling to your faith and pray to the Lord who hears and who is a just and caring Father. Go after Him like the woman who so desperately just longed to touch his cloak. Yell for him like the blind beggar did in the crowd. Climb up a tree like Zaccheaus did so that he could see him better. These people removed everything standing between them and their Lord and with great faith believed that He was their answer.

Gorgeous Girl, the Lord is your answer too. He is ready to meet you right where you are. Ready to hear you and ready to heal you and set you free. Ready to cast your mountains into the sea.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray for great faith that moves mountains. Faith that sets people free and makes blind men see. Faith that heals. Faith that makes us bold in our walk.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
