Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A beautiful new beginning is painted afresh for you each day. God’s daily reminder that yesterday has passed, and today is upon you. This very day is the gift you have from the Lord. The past has nothing to offer, and tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, so feast your eyes on today like a banquet meal ready to be enjoyed.

Dig in to the delicacies of a fresh new day. There are new opportunities available to you today. You have been gifted more time today. Time to do the things you have been set apart to do. There are people praying for more time here on earth, and if you arose today, you have the gift of today. The way we view the day can alter how we live it.

If we rise in gratitude for this very day, thankful to have opened our eyes again and thankful that the sun will rise soon, thankful for new chances to get right today what we missed yesterday, thankful, thankful, thankful, then our expectation for a good day increases.

Increased gratitude leads to increased joy. A thankful, grateful heart is a joy- filled heart. Some mornings when I rise this is easier than others. Some mornings we wake up and just feel ready to tackle the day. Other mornings, the thought of putting our feet on the floor is almost too much to bear. It’s on those mornings especially that we can shift our mindset and our hearts from heaviness and overburdened to light and joyfilled.

This is done by speaking gratitude right into the atmosphere around you. “Thank you Lord for this fresh new day. This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you Lord for a new sunrise. Thank you Lord for a new day to serve You. Show me Lord what You have for me today. Lord, thank You that I arose today with a new chance to live life another day. Keep my eyes on You today. Equip me with Your grace today. Help me through tough moments, and help me to experience joy today. True joy. Joy from Jesus. Lord, thank you for the gift of today.”

When we speak and pray aloud like that, we start to shift our mindset from dread to hopeful expectation. Hope of what this new day could bring begins to spark. And Faith that God is working all things out for my good is strengthened. And love from the Lord begins to drive out all fear.

Our words are POWERFUL and by speaking gratitude, your mind and heart can shift. Your spoken words of positivity and gratefulness to the Lord for this very day, can shift the course of the whole day.

We are spiritual beings created in the image of God. When Jesus ascended to Heaven, He sent us the gift of the Holy Spirit who resides on the inside of each believer. This sets you apart and gives your words extreme power. Choose them wisely and speak carefully. As you speak love and life, you create an atmosphere of joy all around you. What beautiful power you have! Arise today Gorgeous, and speak life. Thank the Lord for His goodness and the fact that your eyes opened again to behold a new day. If we can shift our thinking and begin to find each day a treasured gift to be extremely grateful for, then we will tackle each day from a different perspective than when we view the day as something to just get through.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Elevate our thinking. Change our thoughts and our spoken words to align to Your truths. Help us to view today with a grateful heart. Help us to remember the precious gift each new day brings.
