More valuable than gold? Yes! And the bible proves it!!

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. The sun is rising yet again. Our sweet reminder of our ever faithful Lord. Our Lord who keeps His promises and can be trusted and counted on in all seasons.

One of His promises is that when we accept Jesus as our personal Savior, and believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that we believe in Him that He came to earth, died for us, and rose again, then He takes up residence in our hearts!

We become the living temple for the Holy Spirit to come and live on the inside of us empowering us to access our holy and royal inheritance here on earth and in heaven.

There a ton of directions this post could go after that last statement because how amazing is it that our Lord lives on the inside of us!!!!!

I am going to dig deeper into what that means about your personal value and worth. The Holy Spirit living inside of you is kind of a really big deal. A really, really, really big deal. I wish I had ample words to describe this awesome gift we have been given, but I will illustrate it through the building of the Old Testament Temple.

In the Old Testament, it is before the coming of Jesus. So the people don’t yet have direct access to God as we do today. King David has had a desire burning in his heart to build a temple so that the Spirit of the Lord has a holy dwelling place among the people. He wants a place to offer sacrifices, prayer, and worship. A temple is to be built, and the Lord places the exact design for every detail on David’s heart. It is to be designed according to the plans of the Lord. And when you read through the design, it is massive, many rooms, and every single detail is specific. If you ever find yourself questioning if God cares about the minor details of your life, read the intricacies of how He designed His temple. He is in the details!!!

But the next part is amazing too! The temple was constructed with pure gold, silver, and precious stones, and massive amounts of it!!!!!

Take a moment to read this scripture from the Message version and it details how much gold and silver was used just from the gifts of David and the people:

Then David the king addressed the congregation: “My son Solomon was singled out and chosen by God to do this. But he’s young and untested and the work is huge—this is not just a place for people to meet each other, but a house for God to meet us. I’ve done my best to get everything together for building this house for my God, all the materials necessary: gold, silver, bronze, iron, lumber, precious and varicolored stones, and building stones—vast stockpiles. Furthermore, because my heart is in this, in addition to and beyond what I have gathered, I’m turning over my personal fortune of gold and silver for making this place of worship for my God: 3,000 talents (about 113 tons) of gold—all from Ophir, the best—and 7,000 talents (214 tons) of silver for covering the walls of the buildings, and for the gold and silver work by craftsmen and artisans. “And now, how about you? Who among you is ready and willing to join in the giving?” Ready and willing, the heads of families, leaders of the tribes of Israel, commanders and captains in the army, stewards of the king’s affairs, stepped forward and gave willingly. They gave 5,000 talents (188 tons) and 10,000 darics (185 pounds) of gold, 10,000 talents of silver (377 tons), 18,000 talents of bronze (679 tons), and 100,000 talents (3,775 tons) of iron. Anyone who had precious jewels put them in the treasury for the building of The Temple of God in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite. And the people were full of a sense of celebration—all that giving! And all given willingly, freely! King David was exuberant. 1 Chronicles 29:1‭-‬9

Are you in awe yet?? I have a hard time even imagining how much gold and silver that is! Great resources, treasuries, precious metals, labor, and sacrifice went into building the temple of the Lord so that The Spirit would have a place among the people.

And now through Jesus, we are made holy and valuable and worthy of the Lords dwelling inside of us.

We are a walking, talking, breathing temple of the Creator of the whole Universe!!! And for His temple, 301 TONS of gold were offered to be part of the construction! That was just the gold freely given, even more went into the building.

Gorgeous Girl, God has chosen to dwell inside of your heart. He has chosen YOU as His temple, and a temple of the Lord must be created out of precious metals and extremely valuable materials!!!

You are MORE valuable than 301 TONS of gold, plus much much more in silver, bronze, iron, and precious stones.

The Lord Himself who gave David the design of the temple, also designed you. He crafted your every detail, your physical attributes, your gifts and talents, your temperament. All of you is the handiwork of the Lord, and because of Jesus, you are even more valuable, worthy, and holy than the holy temple built for the dwelling of His Presence!!!

Here are some I ams grounded in the truth of the Lord:

I am designed, crafted, and formed by the Creator of the Universe.

I am hand chosen, selected by God to be a temple for His Holy Spirit.

I am more valuable than extreme quantities of gold and silver.

I am holy and worthy to be a carrier of the Lord’s Presence because of my faith and trust in Jesus who made me worthy.

Wowza! Go forth today differently as you meditate on those I am statements. 🙂 You have great value, great purpose, and a great destiny. Be bold and walk in truth today.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You! We praise Your Holy Name for making such a wild, crazy, beautiful plan to make Your people, Your temple. Help us to keep our eyes on You, feasting on Your Word, and continually being transformed in the likeness of Christ.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Blessings to all of you today!!
