Is it Midnight for Anyone?

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. The Lord’s faithfulness has been revealed again as the sun rises today.

His faithfulness to you, to your family, and to your situation is steadfast. It is unwavering. He will not stop caring for you. He is continually working on your behalf just as He is continually causing the sun to rise.

Every new dawn is a gentle reminder to me that God is renewing all that seems lost. He is restoring and redeeming. He is setting right the things that appeared broken beyond repair. He is faithfully causing the sun to shine on all darkness.

And sometimes, there is no sign of His work even though His Hands have been busy behind the scenes. Do not mistake the darkness of your midnight hour for a silent, still Father. Our Lord is moving even in the darkest of hours.

At midnight, it may appear as though nothing is changing. 1 am.. 2 am.. 3am.. still dark.. no change. No light breaking forth.. yet the earth is on the move. For many hours, there is no visible sign that the light is about to break forth and wash the dark in light. Yet, again and again the dawn emerges.

If it was our first evening and we didn’t have any previous experience with the rising sun, we may think the darkness will last forever. The more sunrises we experience, the more assurance we have that the midnight hour is a temporary situation.

So too is every valley, every dark hour that we experience in our lives. They are temporary as God is always on the move. He is always working out things for the good of those who love Him.

The Lord will cause the sun to rise again and the sweet light will chase away the dark parts that you have been battling. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep bringing every darkness straight to Him. He will redeem, restore, and shine His light on parts that previously seemed stuck in the midnight hour. As the sun rises this morning, you can look at the sun and be reminded that God was on the move all night just as He is on the move in your current situation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We pray for renewed strength to be faithful when our situations seem stuck at midnight. Lord, give us gentle reminders that the sun always rises again. Shine the light on all darkness in our life. Show us the way to restoration. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Blessings and sunshine!

Vanessa Lynn
