Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day to rise and speak kindness. A new day to be mindful of our thoughts and our words. A new day to focus on all that is good and right rather than what is going wrong.
Today’s verse of the day in the bible app is: Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25
And those kind words can be for BOTH ourselves and others. Our words carry immense creative or destructive power.
You can use your words as the salve to a hurting friend.
Your words can be the encouragement that keeps someone going at a difficult project.
Your words can be the answer to someone’s prayer.
Your words spoken at just the right time can be the exact thing needed to reassure an anxious heart.
And your words to yourself can also be just what is needed. Practicing being mindful of how we speak to our inner self is an ongoing process. It is so important that the inner thoughts we are having toward ourselves are kind and loving. We speak to ourselves more than anyone else. Our inner voice, though unheard by others, is often the loudest voice speaking to us. It should be encouraging, backed with scripture, and filled with love.
Today, listen to how you are speaking to yourself and others. If you don’t like what you hear, take it to Jesus in prayer. Ask Him to help you to release the painful bully in your mind and replace the lies with biblical truth.
Here are some truths you can speak:
I was formed and fashioned by the Lord for such a time as this.
I have value, purpose, and destiny here on earth. I am needed for kingdom assignments.
My every feature and design from my outward appearance to my gifts and talents to my personality are all God’s design. He formed my every feature and lovingly created me.
I am doing the very best that I can each day that I rise. I deserve grace and kindness when I make a mistake. I am giving it my all, and my all is enough.
I deserve the same loving kindness that I pour into my children.
So friends, listen today to your inner and outer voice. If the words you speak to yourself or others are highly critical, unkind, or untrue, there is grace to mindfully turn the other direction and begin to speak truth. It’s a journey and a process, but the more you practice filtering every word and every thought to make sure it is from a place of love and kindness, the more you will find yourself naturally speaking in love.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We need You. Help us to reshape our thoughts and our words to be filled with love, kindness, and truth. Lord, help us to strengthen our kindness muscles.
In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
Blessings and Love,
