Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A beautiful renewal happens each evening as the darkness settles and everything rests. It may seem dark all night, and then the break of dawn reminds us that light always triumphs over darkness. The light of the whole world defeated every single evil, stronghold, chain, and even the curse of death. Jesus has handled every single power of darkness. And He empowered His people to live in the earth spreading His love and light and healing to others.

The power is in your tongue. When you speak, things shift. When you speak, curses can be broken. When you speak, healing can rush in. You have a God given weapon against the dark.

Joshua 1:9 tells us to be strong and courageous for the Lord is with you everywhere you go. One verse earlier, we are instructed to meditate on scripture and to keep it on our lips. So we are not just instructed to read and think about scripture, but to also move the scripture from our head and our heart to our tongue. Speak the scriptures as a weapon.

And we have an example of this from Jesus! Jesus came to earth to model what to do with the darkness and evil on earth and when He encountered satan, He had the simplest of weapons. He spoke the Word of God directly to the enemy. Simple, and yet MORE effective than force. Simple, and yet it completely disarmed the enemy.

Speak Scripture to the addiction

Speak Scripture to the anxiousness or depression

Speak Scripture to the fear

Speak Scripture to ANYTHING not aligning to the promises of God.

Don’t change your view of God because of your circumstances. Change your view of your circumstances because of God. What He says has the power to change everything! And because of Jesus, God’s Holy Spirit resides IN us meaning what WE say also has the power to change everything. Speak your victory. Speak with authority and the backing of heaven. You have been chosen by God to be filled with His power. He is entrusting you as His dwelling space, and when you speak, DARKNESS TREMBLES.

Dear Heavenly Father, Let us keep Your words on our lips today and everyday. Fill us with FRESH power to speak to the darkness. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
