My New Project…

Good Evening my Gorgeous Friends,

It’s been quite a week!

Monday was a hurricane day for the kids, so we stayed home and watched the rain and wind.

Chuck works for USPS as a mail carrier. Mail delivery was still on, so he went to work with a towel, raincoat, and extra clothes.

After he went to work, we did lots of indoor things. The boys were up and painting at 7am.

Addyson made eggs for breakfast.

It cleared up in the middle of the day, so we went to do a little shopping.

And, then prepped for my new project by cleaning off the table and pulling out an empty cart.

The kids helped me to fill the cart up with supplies.

School resumed Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, the kids went to school, but they were dismissed early due to storm conditions.

And then as the week continued, I worked a little on my project each day…

Tomorrow, I will post the finished products! I am excited to share. I have had a ton of doubts and mixed feelings. As the negative thoughts came this week, I just kept pushing through and saying my I ams. I told a few friends how I was feeling, and I allowed them to speak life and truth back into me.

It’s a big risk to put your whole heart into an endeavor with no assurance that it will be successful.

However, if you feel called to try something new and fear has you frozen, there is a great space to invite Jesus to come and stand with you in the place between your dream and where you stand.

The inspiration behind my project is this passage of scripture in the Old Testsament.

The Lord is telling His people to store up His Words in their hearts, write them everywhere, teach them to their children, wear them, and have them on their homes.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being and with all your might. And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be [first] in your [own] minds and hearts; [then] You shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the [minds and] hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets (forehead bands) between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Deuteronomy 6:5‭-‬9 AMPC

I am continually trying to get more and more scripture soaked in. And having it everywhere helps! As you enter my home, you will find scripture on my walls and throughout my home.

And as I give gifts, I am also continually trying to make them more and more faith centered.

So taking these two ideas…

1. Getting more scripture into more places AND

2. Giving gifts that encourage others through the Word of God

I am designing gifts simply called: Faith Gifts!

I have about a zillion ideas, but have narrowed it down to gift baskets to be sold locally and gift boxes that can be shipped.

I have worked all week on designing them and putting them together.

And, at some point tomorrow, I will finish taking photos and share my creations!

Thanks for all of your love and supportive comments about my week off with Nia. It’s been great spending time with her. She has been my helper and my little buddy this week. I am glad to report that she is healthy and so is our family.

Much love to all of you!

Vanessa Lynn
