Something New Ahead

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. A new day to rise and begin afresh.

Each new day holds fresh mercies. Fresh assignments from heaven. Fresh grace to get them done. Fresh insights from Holy Spirit.

And some days feel fresh while others feel like a rollover from yesterday’s problems.

The beautiful thing is that whether the day FEELS new or not, it still is new.

The new rising of the sun is not dependent on our feelings.

God’s promise to give us fresh infusions of His mercy is not dependent on our feelings either.

God is renewing us each day even when we don’t feel it.

Sometimes even before we see or experience the newness, we feel dry, parched, or even like some parts of us are dying.

Things that used to be clear become muddy.

Things that used to be easy get hard.

Things that seemed secure get shaken up.

There’s a stumbling and a grappling to gain our footing.

And then we realize as our feet get set on solid ground that all that commotion was God shifting and moving and sometimes even pruning us so that we could walk into a new season and bear a new, heavier type of fruit.

Its been a shaking up, shifting, and parts of me being pruned by God season.

And God keeps reminding me of the same verse again and again.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19 NIV

Notice that is says, “do you not perceive it?”

Sometimes as we release old seasons, it feels alot like dying and we don’t perceive that God is up to something new.

I struggled for weeks probably more like months before this verse from God reminded me to trust Him. He is working on me. Working in me. Working around me. Working out some things and working in new things.

So I am trusting Him. I am holding Him to His promises.

He is doing something new.

And as I stay in prayer, in His Word, and in worship, I won’t miss it!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for new mercies. New grace. New opportunities to serve You. Thank You for the pruning even when it gets uncomfortable and sometimes even hurts. The things that You lovingly prune off give space and room for new growth in You. I trust You as my master Gardener and Vinedresser. Here I am Lord. Here I am all for You and Your plans.

In Jesus’s name,

Amen.

  1. Years ago God gave me the Isaiah verse during a very traumatic time in my life. And now I can more clearly see the new thing he was forming which is so much better than the former. His wisdom is true. His grace sufficient. Thank you for this encouraging post.

  2. Amen.

Thank you Brave, Blessed, and Beautiful! Your dedication and service to God deeply warms hearts. It is a sweet surrender when we belong to Him, allowing His water to flow is refreshing. Through the wilderness, fear, dread, and that familiar grumbling spirits often seek our attention. However, God’s Word illuminates and softens every blow.

Thank you for your encouraging words and faithfulness and for shining His light so brightly.

  3. Thank you for the reminder. It really can be a grappling and so hard to surrender to change and to the new… Praying for you and requesting your prayers too, cos letting go is soooooo hard!
