Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day, a fresh new start. A new day to rise and look to Jesus for EVERYTHING you so desperately need: peace, joy, victory, and even righteousness.
I am just beginning to meditate on this beautiful name of God: Jehovah Tsidkenu.
Friends, its Jesus!!! Look at the verse in Jeremiah.
“For the time is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line.
He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land.
And this will be his name: ‘The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety.
Jeremiah 23:5-6 NLT
Jesus provides what we never could do for ourselves!! We could never live a sinless, blemish free life. So the Lord Himself, left His seat on High, and was born as a baby, through the line of David just as it was prophesied about to BECOME the very Righteousness we could never obtain.
He loves us that much, that He had mercy and compassion on His people and came to save us fully and completely.
He came to be our King, our Lord, our Savior, and the very fulfillment of righteousness for His people.
How do we access the righteousness that God provides?
Because to recieve something, there is an active part in opening our hands and our heart for this gift.
The way to recieve the righteousness that Jesus offers us is through faith.
It was foreshadowed by Abraham’s faith and then fully accessed by everyone who calls on the name of the Lord!
I will dig deeper into this beautiful truth in God’s Word in my next post..
For today, let’s rejoice that EVERY Word in the Bible is true, alive, active, and for US.
In the Old Testament, it was prophesied in Jeremiah that The Lord would send a righteous descendant who would be called, “The Lord, our righteousness.”
And HE DID. He sent Himself in flesh in the manifestation of Jesus.
Wow!!! Read the name again and again and soak it in.
THE LORD, our righteousness..
He is the Lord, and He is OUR Righteousness. We cannot be righteous apart from Him. You cannot be separate from the Lord and be righteous.
Only in Christ, can righteousness be obtained. And as we call on Him in faith, we recieve His righteousness! What a beautiful, beautiful gift!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
You amaze me with Your ways. They are beyond full comprehension, but we will continue to study and thirst after Your Word. We will continue to see new revelation of You and Your ways. We will look to You for answers instead of the world. We will cling to every Word in the Bible as our guide and lamp unto our feet. When we feel shame, guilt, emotional pain, unworthy, or not enough, we will remember that You are Jehovah Tsidkenu, The Lord our Righteousness!
In Jesus’s name, Amen..
