Good Morning Gorgeous!
It’s a brand new day. A fresh NEW start!!
All things are being made NEW!!

John, possibly the youngest disciple of Christ, had a special relationship with Jesus. He called himself “the one that Jesus loved.” John reclined against the Lord at the Last Supper. It was probably similar to how a son would lean into a father or a trusted big brother. Even over all of his natural-born brothers, Jesus entrusted the care of his mother to John at the cross. John was also the author of five books of the bible: the Gospel of John, as well as 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Revelation. John knew Jesus well and received a revelation from that place of deep intimacy. He received insight and knowledge that Jesus was there at Creation! He opens up the gospel of John, declaring this astonishing truth. He calls Jesus the Word, the Word with God, and says that the Word WAS God! He proclaims that everything was made THROUGH Him and that in Him was life. John revealed that Jesus Christ was the Lord at the foundation of the world. It clearly shows that He existed even before He chose to put on flesh and walk the earth in human form.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1: 1-5
Look at what John said next!
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1: 14
Before Jesus came to earth, fully human and fully God, no human after Adam and Eve had ever seen God and lived. Moses came close when the Lord hid him in the cleft of a rock and placed His Hand over Moses as He passed by. This would be about the closest recorded event after Adam and Eve of someone beholding the Lord in His full glory. But this separation was NOT the original design. God had planned to be closely related to His creation since the beginning. He created Adam and Eve to walk with Him, talk with Him, and be with Him. He walked with them in the garden in the cool of the day. He spoke with them and communed with them until their sin separated them from Him. But even after they chose the scheme of satan over the Lord’s protective Word, He decided not to allow this separation to continue forever.

Instead, He left His throne in heaven and came to earth. He lived a perfect, sinless life that no man could ever live, offering Himself to the world. He offered Himself to the world, and that world includes YOU. The Creator of everything seen and unseen chose to make a way for you to know Him personally—the implications of this truth for you are life-changing. You are here on purpose, for a purpose, and Jesus has been planning to walk with you all along. Even when you were running from the call of God on your life, He planned an invitation for your return to Him. He’s calling you closer today. He’s inviting you to soak, revel, and rest in the beautiful truth that the Lord of all Creation knows you. He understands what you’re facing and where you’ve been, and He is offering a way forward hand in hand with Him.

Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is not one of the ways. He is THE way, THE truth, and THE LIFE. Jesus boldly declared that no one can come to the Father except through Him. Since He created everything, He also created YOU. He desires to walk with you just as he walked with the disciples. His plan is for you to know Him in such a tangible way that you hear His voice, lean on Him, and follow His lead. As you follow Jesus, there is an invitation to allow His Word to perform a deep work on you.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
When you get the revelation that Jesus is the Word that spoke everything into existence, you can trust Him to restore you to His original intention. His Word can perform surgery on your mind, heart, will, motives, and deep places buried under protective layers. Every time you read the written Word or sit with Jesus and receive a Word in your spirit, there is an opportunity to be healed, restored, refreshed, fed, cleansed, strengthened, and transformed.

Dear Lord,
Here I am. I am submitting afresh to You today as my Creator. The One who spoke the whole world into existence surely knows what is best for me. I submit to Your Word today. I desire to allow the Word to perform surgery in the areas of my life that need healing. Come and remove what needs to go, set straight anything that has come out of proper alignment. I want to walk closely with you like the first disciples. I am ready to fully submit to You, Your ways, Your written Word, and anything You reveal to me personally as I draw near to You. I trust You as the Word that has the final say in my life.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
Blessings this Christmas Season!
