Again, this name of Jesus starts in the Old Testament prophecies. Our healing would begin with His sacrifice. It was planned long before His birth that He would be our Healer. Soak this passage is from Isaiah:
Surely He has borne our griefs, And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah: 4-6

Jesus took the weight of all our sins and all of humanity’s rejection of God’s best plans for them, and He bore it on the cross. He dealt with the sins that harden our hearts and manifest as pain. He was wounded for our healing. At the cross, He conquered both sin and death. He said, “It is finished.” The curse was canceled, and death no longer held the people of God captive. In many cases, when Jesus encountered someone who needed to be healed, He dealt with a different issue first, other than the physical healing, and then He healed their bodies.Story after story of healing by Jesus, He takes time to minister to their soul, identity, past, and physical needs. The woman with the issue of blood was physically healed first because she went after her healing by touching His garment. But He paused to give her the rest of her miracle! He healed her identity by calling her “Daughter.” Next, He healed her mind by telling her, “Go in peace; your faith has healed you.” She received a complete healing.
Jesus desires total healing for us too. He is concerned with soul healing and reconciliation to God AND the healing of our physical bodies. Many times in the Bible, sin healing is mentioned prior to or alongside of physical healing.
Here is an example in Psalms:
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
Psalms 103: 1-3

He forgives all your sins! And heals all your diseases. How amazing that God heals the eternal state of our soul. He makes us healed and whole. He forgives our sins, shortcomings, and weaknesses, and His healing is eternal and forever! We will close our eyes here on earth and open them with Jesus in Heaven. For the follower of Jesus Christ, death has NO power. What type of healing is available through Jesus?
1. Forgiveness of sins and healing of our hearts. Repent and confess faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, and you will saved.
2. Emotional Healing of our soul. Jesus can touch every hurt and pour healing into every heartbreak. You are healed and whole because of Him.
3. Healing of our thinking. You can be healed from destructive beliefs about yourself, God, and others. Reading the Word can wash you, heal you, and renew your mind.
4. Healing from attacks of the enemy and demonic oppression. There is a real enemy who is against you; however, you don’t have to live in fear. Jesus has already triumphed over every enemy at the cross. He can drive away anything that comes against you. He is the healer of ALL things that oppress and attack His people. 5. Healing in our physical bodies. Jesus STILL performs miracles and manifests His healing powers in people’s bodies. He still opens blind eyes, still causes the deaf to hear, the sick to be made well, and even the dead to rise. These miracles are still happening in the name of Jesus.
6. And ULTIMATELY, Jesus heals us and cancels the finality of death. We don’t stay in our sick and dying bodies. We are resurrected to life where we are FOREVER healed and with the Lord.

Jesus said that because of the Helper, the Holy Spirit, we would be able to do GREATER miracles than He did. Those are Jesus’s words! His promise! He can heal you, and you can pray for others to be healed by His Name. When a crowd came to Jesus at sundown, shortly after His public ministry began, the Bible says He healed them ALL. It was very intentional that Luke writes that Jesus healed ALL of their diseases. He can heal you completely today, and He also desires to heal others through you.

Dear Lord,
Thank You for making complete healing possible. Heal me completely today. Heal my heart and my mind, and cleanse me of all sin. Lord, heal my motives and my intentions. Heal my past and deal with every trauma, every deep wound, and every fear. Thank You for removing every barrier that separated me from You. Heal my body today and fill me with the strength to keep going. Thank You for healing me and making me a pure vessel so I can walk out my destiny in Christ Jesus. I am willing to be a vessel through which Your healing flows to others.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
