Building Legacy at the Kitchen Table: How Homeschooling and Book Writing Collide

Hello Gorgeous,

This morning my “classroom” looked nothing like the ones I taught in for 20 years.

No desks in neat rows. No fluorescent lights.
Instead my twins were at their homeschool desks in the corner of our dining room, Nia was curled up with her workbook, and my coffee was right where I could reach it.

We laughed through a reading lesson, worked on math, and talked about life between subjects. And all the while, I was struck by this one thought:

I’m living in the fruit of a very scary YES I made years ago.

That “yes” wasn’t to homeschooling (though that came later). It was to writing my first book, Surviving the Midnight Hour.

I didn’t have perfect conditions back then. I was teaching full-time, running a busy home with five kids, and writing at midnight because it was the only time I had. I didn’t know if anyone would buy the book or if it would matter to anyone at all.

But I knew God told me to write.
So I wrote.

That one book became three:
Surviving the Midnight Hour

The Companion Guide

Anticipating the Savior

And eventually, that “yes” turned into Anointed to Scribe, a Spirit-led community where Christian authors gather to finally write, publish, and launch the books God’s placed inside them.

Homeschooling and writing might seem unrelated, but they have the same Kingdom principle:

➡ You plant seeds now that you won’t fully see the fruit of until later.
➡ You work even when it’s messy, even when you don’t know the full outcome.
➡ You build legacy, one lesson, one chapter at a time.

Just like I get to watch my kids discover new talents, I’ve watched women inside Anointed to Scribe discover that they are, in fact, authors. They’ve pulled their story out of the shadows and onto the page. They’ve learned how to format, publish, and actually hold their book in their hands.

If you’ve been sitting on a story, unsure of where to start, here’s your invitation:
Come join us inside Anointed to Scribe.

You’ll get:
📚Weekly coaching and feedback
💻Step-by-step training from idea to published book
🔥A Spirit-filled community cheering you on when you want to quit

This is your place to finally do what God’s been nudging you to do, write the book.
Because the world needs your story, and legacy starts with a single “yes.”

Can’t wait to see you on the inside!

      1. I feel so disconnected on WordPress and boy am I missing that connection. We’ve had a handful of big events over the past month and now this trip to the New England states for my youngest daughter’s senior trip coming up. I’m enjoying the moment but also looking forward to a slow down after we get back!!
        Looking forward to connecting soon!!
