Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. Are you desiring to grow in your faith? Do you want to trust God more and more? I find myself wanting to trust God with everything. I desire to allow Him to care for my needs like He promises to do in His Word, yet I find myself time and time again snatching my problems right back out of His Hands. I will pray about something, release it and give it to Him, feel peace and relief. Then, before I know it, I am worrying again and trying to order my own solutions before I have given Him any chance to work His miracles.
One way that faith is strengthened is by experience. When we allow the Lord to meet our needs, we experience His goodness and we trust in Him. My children can put their trust in me to take care of them because they have experienced my care. I have fed them, nurtured them, been there when they cried out for me, and so they know that when they need me, I will answer.
God desires the same trust and faith relationship with us. Yet, so often we don’t give Him the opportunity to care for us, to show us His goodness. We are busy trying to do it all ourselves. Often times, I will encounter a need, and I will try to fix it myself. Then, when I hit numerous dead ends, then I will stop to pray. However, there is a better way. We can stop to pray as our first resort and not our last.
Let God be our first responder. He desires to be there continually. A continuous lifeline that we can trust in and count on. He loves us with an unfailing love that never ends. If we can grab ahold of that truth and believe it, then we can trust Him to take care of us always in all situations and in every need.
The Lord continually reveals His miracles to His people throughout the bible. As we read the miracles, we see the heart of our God. A God who is able to part seas, call down walls, redeem what is lost, feed multitudes in a multitude of creative ways, walk through fire , and protect his children from fire.
There is a bible story for every single need we would experience in the earth from physical tragedy, emotional needs, financial difficulties, relationship troubles, food provision, children who are being disobedient, traumatic experiences, loss, pain, heartache.. and through every story, God delivers and cares for His children. He often works things out for them in a way that impacts their life and also paves a way to bless future generations.
God’s plans are good. You can trust Him. Even when its hard to understand what is happening, it doesn’t mean He isn’t working it all out on your behalf.
Thank goodness it only takes faith the size of a mustard seed to move a whole mountain. Some days, I feel like that is all I have. But my faith is growing as I learn to call on Him first, and then I have to do the hard part of pausing and just waiting on Him..listening for His instructions and letting His peace reign in my heart while I wait.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Grow us in faith Lord. Help us to lean into You. To call on You first and to be filled with peace knowing You are right there caring for us just like we tend to our children..
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
