Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. Let yesterday wash away.. be refreshed today.. be renewed with peace. If yesterday was full of crazy, that doesn’t mean today will be. Don’t let yesterday be the predictor of today. Instead, let Jesus speak into today. You can Believe Him, You can Trust Him, and you can be given a fresh gift for today, a gift that cannot be found anywhere else: Peace. A special peace that the world just cannot give. Only through Jesus can one receive the gift of true peace.

This morning I was reading in John, and I came to lots of red. Which always make me pay more attention because its Jesus’s spoken words. He said:

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27

He also said:

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. John 14:1

And He asks us to believe that He is in the Father:

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do. John 14:10‭-‬11

Jesus gives alot of promise and instructions in this chapter. This morning he is telling us who He is and just a glimpse of the good gifts He has for you.

He is saying to Believe that He lives in the Father, to trust in Him and trust in God, and don’t allow your hearts to be troubled or afraid because He is giving you a peace that cannot be found anywhere else except for in Him.

This peace has no pricetag, it cannot be purchased by any human means, it cannot be found in any of the other things that give temporary relief. There are many things on earth that we use to try to find peace on our own, but Jesus clearly says that He has a special gift for you. One no one else on this earth has the power or authority to give you. He has a special peace. The peace that can enter your heart when everything around you is spinning out of control. The peace that you can access when you receive troubling news. The peace that can hold your feet steady when the world tries to move you. The peace that guarantees rest when you are weary and heavy burdened. The peace that baffles those around you. The peace that you can access in a time of crisis. The peace that David speaks of in the Old Testamant in the beloved Psalm 23. You make me lie down in green pastures. You give me rest.

This peace Gorgeous Girl is available to you today. Seek Him and you will find Him. Ask for peace and rest amidst all the crazy, and He will deliver. It’s a peace that He in inviting you into. A peace that will enter your heart and change the way you view the events that come your way today. A peace that will change the way you react to events today. A peace that will leave you shaking your head and knowing in your heart that it MUST be Jesus. The one who came from the Father into the earth as a baby to live as a human so that He could bring you peace today.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are so so good to us. Please administer peace and rest to the women of God today. We are carrying alot today. We are responsible to many and carry many roles and wear many hats. Help us to enter Your rest and equip us for the day ahead. In Jesus name, Amen.
