Christmas Peace all year long?

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A few days after Christmas and a few days until New Years. A time of transition. A time to transition our minds, our schedules, and our homes to the coming year. A time of reflection and pondering where we’ve been this past year and where we are going next year. During this transition period and into the coming year, let’s purposefully not allow our heart to transition away from the wonder of the Christmas Season. As I make plans for the New Year, I want to stay in the peace, joy, and wonder that Christmas brings all year long.

The amazement that we feel about the birth of Jesus can reign in our hearts all year long. At Christmastime, we are primed and focused on Jesus and the wonder of His birth. Our hearts are laid open and bare before Him ready to receive His message as we listen to Christmas songs and attend church services all centered around His wondrous awe inspiring birth. We feel joy and peace deep within during the Christmas Season. Where does all that peace and joy originate? It’s the saturation of Jesus everywhere we look and go.

Is it possible to feel the peace and joy of Christmas all year long? If we seek Jesus as fervently and openly as we do at Christmas, He will fill us with joy and peace abundantly. He will continue to stir up our faith and feelings of awe and wonder can be felt all year long. If we continually seek and search for Jesus everyday, we will find Him and all of the gifts that He has for us can be ours all year long no matter the season.

Gorgeous girl, let your heart be filled with the wonder of God all year long. Let us keep our eyes and our hearts on His wonders. Let us seek Him with wide open hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to stay in Your Presence all year through. In all seasons, in all places, in the lows and the highs, in the sun, in the rain, in the celebrating and the mourning. Lord, be at the center of our lives today and all year long. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
