Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day to rise in expectation that Jesus is coming. The Lord will fulfill every promise He has made. The Lord will move and do what He has said He will do.
If you are waiting and praying and waiting some more, prepare room in your heart to receive the good news that the Lord has prepared for you. It may not look exactly like you’ve planned it out. It may not be just how you’ve orchestrated your miracle, but God will make a way when there seems to be no way.
Jesus was born at a time of great governmental oppression. The Jews were expecting Him to rise up and overthrow the government and restore the throne in Israel and be their king. Jesus overthrew the government alright! But not the government of man the way they were expecting. It didn’t happen the way the people had expected it to happen, but it did happen just as it was prophesied in the Old Testament Scriptures.
Jesus came and made a new covenant with man. He redeemed us. He came as a baby and then sacrificed His human body as the perfect lamb to cover all of our sin once and for all. He changed everything with his birth, life, death, and resurrection.
He didn’t fix the governmental oppression or overthrow the Roman government, so some people of that time missed that their prayers were being answered. They missed that the King of Kings was walking among them teaching them a new way. They missed it because they had their eyes set on their own way the Messiah was to save the world.
The Messiah didn’t overthrow the Roman Government because that would have only been an earthly, temporary solution to their oppression.
Instead Jesus descended into hell and overthrew the government of satan. He broke the curse of death and resurrected and ascended to heaven. This matters because it means that death has no hold on us. Whatever we battle with on earth has NO permanent hold on us..it is only temporary like the Roman government.
God will answer your prayers. He will provide for your needs. He will heal your pain. He will work miracles both in the earth and in the supernatural! Sometimes, your answered prayer doesn’t look anything like you had planned. Yet, keep trusting, because God’s answer will have eternal implications. God’s answer will stand the test of time. God’s answer may have eternal impact for your grandchildren and great grandchildren and children that will come after you that you may not meet while you walk the earth. There are pieces to the puzzle of your life that you can’t see yet, BUT GOD SEES. And He has your VERY best in mind. He wants eternal implications for your generational line. God is working out things in your life for eternal purposes!!
And when we look at what Jesus accomplished with His final breath, we can marvel even more deeply at the beauty of His birth. His birth symbolized the mark of the beginning of a beautiful redemption plan for all of mankind. His birth was the mark that God was on the move. His birth is the reminder that God never forgets His promises to us.
The baby was going to change everything! And the change would be for All time, all generations, all people of every nation, and every language.
The redemption was bigger than the Jews could fathom and God’s miracle for your life is bigger than you can imagine too.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us to trust in You afresh. Help us to cling to You and believe that You are answering our prayers. You are moving even in the silence. You are working even when we can’t see it or we don’t understand it. Help us to marvel afresh at the birth of Jesus this Christmas.
In Jesus’s name, Amen
