Where can we insert some margins?

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start.

It’s a new dawn to rise up and just put two feet to the floor.

It’s been one of those weeks for me where every day is filled to the brim and pouring over with things on my plate. I told someone yesterday that I had accomplished more than was humanly possible in the hours of the day. And I did.

Because God’s equipping grace is available for those days.

But the thing that I am struggling with is, even though He is gracious and helps me through these wild and crazy overscheduled days at work and home, but is it His plan?

Did He design me to work at such a pace that I literally have to remind myself to pause and just breathe here and there?

My excuse, well it’s a busy season. Yes, that it is, but then I add onto it without regard to the fact that’s it is already stacked to overflow.

I plan to share more and explore this with you all really soon, but God has placed on my heart the scripture about margins. He commanded the Israelites to leave a portion of their harvest for the needy to come and pick after the gatherers. The interesting thing is…He commanded them to leave the easiest part to gather, the margins. The edges, not the center of the vine that was hard to reach, but they were to leave some grain or some grapes right at the edge and not harvest that part.

They were commanded to leave margins. God is asking me clear as can be to get some margins in my schedule so that I can be available to His people, to my coworkers, to my friends, to the person who needs encouragement.

The thing is I have to wrap up this blog post to leave for work by 6:15am because its another overscheduled day. BUT I have so much more to share… like why His request is so hard for me.

What in your life needs some margins? What have you pushed to it’s very limit?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Speak into our hearts. Help us to incorporate margins where they are needed. Help us to break free from the strongholds. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
