Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A whole new day lies ahead. A new day to finish victoriously in Christ. A new day to battle against all struggle with the truth of God’s Promises.
And the more we walk in truth, the more victorious we will be. The more of God’s truth that we can get into our bones, it will hold us up and give us strength and shape just as bones do.
The truths of God’s Word are a mighty weapon against every single thing we battle against on this side of heaven.
Ephesians 6 speaks of putting on the full armor of God and when it speaks of God’s Word, it calls it a Sword. The Passion Translation below states to, “Take the mighty razor sharp Spirit sword of the spoken Word of God.” And “Pray Passionately” A few lines before this scripture, Paul writes that we don’t battle against flesh and blood, but against evil and principalities.
We are fighting an unseen battle every day. And justas we are not fighting what the world sees, we do not battle as the people of the world battle. We have much more powerful weapons, and they are directly from God Himself.
Our razor sharp weapon is His Word.
His Word is the answer to every question.
His Word is the provision to every need.
His Word is the calming relief to your fear.
His Word is the healing for your hurt.
His Word is the firm foundation when you feel your feet slip.
His Word is the truth when the world’s lies threaten to consume you.
When you pray the Words of God, you have a mighty weapon against anything coming against you. Spoken words and prayers have such power and might. Your prayers release heaven’s power to earth. Your words have authority to release healing, make the enemy flee, and peace to reign where chaos and anxiety previously ruled.
Sometimes we know exactly what to pray. The words roll off our tongue and the conversation with God flows easily. And other days, we may be so weak from battle, that we can barely muster what to pray. We know prayer has the power to move mountains and release provision, yet there are days when the words get stuck in our throat.
How do we pray power filled, heaven backed prayers that bring heaven’s order to a chaotic earth when we are weak and struggling with prayer?
You can Pray the Scriptures right back to the Lord. These verbally spoken promises aloud have POWER to get God’s truth into your core belief system so that you cannot be shaken by the storm swirling around you. And as you believe God’s Word and faith arises, your prayers backed by faith can cast mountains that were previously immovable for you right into the sea.
You can take any promise of God found in scripture and pray it aloud back to the Lord.
I woke up Sunday morning with God’s promise on my heart: I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have been meditating on that precious Word since I woke up yesterday. So we will start with that verse.
I have loved you with an everlasting love.
Here’s a sample prayer in return. Speak that truth right back to the Lord as you prayer. Let every lie of the enemy be replaced with the truth of what God says.
Another promise: You are so valuable that God has numbered your every hair!
Feeling the sting of unworthiness? Feeling unimportant? Unsuccessful? Buying the lie that you have to strive for your value? Speak the truth in prayer.
Another promise: God has goooood plans for your future.
Feeling like you can’t catch a break and it will always be that way? Speak aloud this truth in prayer.
Each and every promise in scripture can be prayed back to God. And as you pray the scriptures, your soul is being grounded in truth while you are also battling with a mighty weapon given to you by the One who hung every star.
He has reached into His arsenal and handed you a mighty sword by giving you His Words. You have to be the one to boldly, and bravely use it to experience the victory already promised to you.
Friends, walking in God’s truth will lead you to victory in every battle, every time.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Open our eyes to the power we have because of Christ. Let us speak with bold truth. Strengthen us for every battle and make us victorious because we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Amen.
There is so much truth in this blog, Vanessa. I try to pray back Scripture, sometimes not as well as I would like. Thank you for this encouragement!
Isn’t amazing that God’s word is enough even for our prayers? That He has provided everything for us! Even filled our prayers with power.
