Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. A new day to rise and receive all you need from a goood, goood Father!

I’ve been battling a weariness. For several months even before Maxwell’s passing, I have struggled to keep up with my morning routine of rising and spending time with God.

Something I did daily for a long time was now not only difficult, but felt literally impossible. I’ve never been a morning person, ever, so rising early has always been something that I had to rely on Jesus’s strength for, not my own.

But then with Him, I felt like I had conquered this and for quite a while I rose in the wee hours of the morning regularly.

And then I just couldn’t. Just couldn’t. I tried. Set all types of alarms, had Alexa turning on worship music at the time I wanted to wake up, and yet morning after morning, I felt as though I physically couldn’t rise.

I’ve been praying about it, asking Jesus for His strength, calling on Him for help to get back to our quiet time in the morning.

And this morning, I was able to get up. Not sure what shifted from yesterday to today, but I can guarantee it was something the Lord did for me! And the best part….. the verse of the day for today in the Bible app is about weariness!

Here it is in the NKJV.

I LOVE, LOVE this precious promise.

I have satiated the weary soul and replenished every sorrowful soul!

What a precious promise from our Lord. That when you are weary, tired, exhausted beyond measure, too weak to rise, to spent to keep going, HE will satiate and refuel your tired soul. He will be your energy source. He will be the One to stand you back up.

And then He will replenish the sorrowful soul.

When you are grieving and hurting. When the pains and worries of this life feel too much to bear, He will replenish your joy. He will refill your spirit with fresh fill of oil so that you feel light and able to continue.

And that promise found in the Old Testament is given again from the mouth of Jesus in the New Testament!!!

Jesus is promising a beautiful exchange with you. Give Him every burden, every assignment, every worry, and everything you are putting your mind or your hand to, and He will CARRY it for you! And also minister doses of rest for your tired soul.

So today an open invitation from Jesus…

Are you tired? Worn out? Exhausted and unable to function? So weary that you feel unable to do what you used to be able to do with ease?

Call on Jesus and take Him right at His promise. He will satiate your soul. Refresh your spirit. Refuel your energy cup and carry for you anything that is simply too much.

What an AWESOME God we serve!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to bravely hand over the things in our life that are too much for us to bear alone. Help us to remember that we can call on you anytime day or night for a refreshing and a refueling. Lord, let us learn to turn to You first for our needs. Help us to receive every promise that You have spoken. Lord, refresh and refuel those who are reading this and feel a burden of exhaustion and heaviness. Lift it off and fill them afresh today.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.
