Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. A new day to rise and call on the name of Jesus. This beautiful Jesus is the visible, tangible manifestation of the Lord Himself.

Before Jesus came to earth both fully human and fully God, no human since Adam and Eve had ever seen God and lived. Moses came close. The Lord hid him in the cleft of a rock and placed His Hand over Moses as He passed by.

Before the Lord took up residence in man as Jesus, it was impossible to behold the Lord.

But God had planned since the beginning of time to be in close relationship with His creation. He created Adam and Eve to walk with Him, talk with Him, and be in relationship with Him. Their sin separated them from Him, but He chose to not allow us to stay in this separated condition.

Instead, He left His throne in heaven and came to earth. He lived a perfect, sinless life that no man could ever live, and then offered Himself to the world.

And He also walked the earth touching people with His healing Hands, speaking and bringing life back to things that were dead or dying, providing a new way of living and loving for His people. He modeled a new way to walk in the earth, AND He promised to give every follower the gift of the Holy Spirit which would enable us to live and love and move through the earth like Jesus.

We are equipped and enabled to reject our old sin nature and instead grow up in our spirit and be transformed to be more and more and more molded by the Spirit of the Lord that now lives on the inside of us!!

So why not God without Jesus? Jesus Christ is the Lord Himself who loved people so much that He wanted not a single person to perish, no not one.

Jesus is the Lord who came to earth to relate to man. He came in a form that was able to sympathize with our human condition. He came in a form that allowed people to once again walk and talk with the Lord again just as they were designed to do all along!

Jesus said it very plainly when He told His followers:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6 NKJV

And John states that Jesus was the One through which all things were created.

And Paul writes this!

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
Colossians 1:15‭-‬20 NLT

Wowza! Can the Bible be any more clear than these verses that Jesus is the living God? He is the Lord Himself who came as the Son in a form that His creation (us) could see and walk and talk with!

He came to live the very life we couldn’t and He conquered the curse of death so that we by faith in Him could receive everlasting life.

And so how do we walk in relationship with God? We have to receive the good news of Jesus Christ to be reconciled to the Father. We have to confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus is who He says He is. The Son of God who died for our sins, who rose again, and then ascended to heaven. He intercedes for us to the Father. He clothes us in His righteousness as a free gift for all who believe in Him.

And the Bible promises that everyone who calls on the Lord will be saved!

So what do we do with this message?

If you haven’t made Jesus, the Lord of your life. You can simply turn to Him in faith and tell Him that you believe. I know that it may seem crazy and parts of it may not make sense. But that’s where we get to exercise our faith and simply trust in Him. And sometimes we will physically begin to feel His Presence. You may be reading this and your heart may be beating a little harder, your mind may be racing, hope may begin to kindle in your soul. You may feel the warmth of His prompting. This is the Presence of a good, good Lord who has been drawing you to Himself. Its so simple and yet so powerful, you simply pray.

Lord, I believe Your Word. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth and died for my sins. I believe that He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. I receive the free gift of salvation and I want to make Jesus the Lord of my life. I want to follow Jesus and learn more about how much He loves me. I am sorry for sinning against You. Please forgive me. I choose to follow You from now on. Please help me on my journey and send me people to guide me and show me the next steps. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

If you prayed that and you believe, the Bible is clear. Your name is registered in heaven and the Father now sees you with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. You are a brand new creation in Christ Jesus!

Dear Heavenly Father,

What an amazing gift we have in Jesus! It’s hard to fathom this gift. You are such a merciful, loving God who removed every obstacle between You and us. You broke down every barrier and reconciled us back to Yourself through Jesus. Thank You Lord. May we continually marvel at this miracle. As we celebrate Christmas, let us grow in awareness of the beauty of the gospel. Lord, anoint our tongues to share boldly the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Let us spread the hope unashamed and with fervor. In Jesus’s name, Amen..
