Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day! A fresh new start!

A new day to rise and go forth with awe and wonder at the amazing God we serve!

A new day to testify of His goodness and all He has done!

A new day to tell someone about the miracles He’s done in you.

A new day to pour out the fountain of living water on the inside of you!

Jesus calls His church, His bride.

He has chosen us, set us apart from others, dressed us in pure white, and is preparing us for the great wedding feast!

Imagine the excitement of a newly engaged woman! If you take her to lunch, all she can speak of is her soon to be groom. She gushes about his goodness, his kindness, their dreams together, what they plan to do, and how much she loves him!

The joy is contagious as she smiles and blushes and tells you all about her hopes and dreams of the future they will embark on together!

And when you encounter a child of God who is walking in close relationship with the Lord, it is often a similar giddiness and fullness of JOY!

They can’t help but testify! They can’t help but tell of their most recent encounter with the Living God. They can’t help but tell of His miracles and how He has changed their heart and their life.

We can testify just like this! Everyday, everywhere we go, everyone we encounter, we have the opportunity to share about Jesus with gladness like a blushing bride.

Tell what He has done for you.

Tell that He is the reason for the smile on your face.

Tell that He is why you have peace in the midst of your trial.

Tell that He has lovingly courted you and pulled you from a life of sin and placed you on solid ground.

Tell that He is wondrous and faithful and you can count on Him in the valley and on the mountaintop.

Be ready to share where your strength comes from!

Last weekend, I was at Busch Gardens with my family and I was waiting in line with Bentley and Nia. I started chatting with two women behind me and they asked my sign. At first I was confused, but then I realized that they meant horoscope sign. I am recently learning of the danger of zodiac and any types of mysticism. I am also very careful of the words I speak. Every word carries the ability to make covenants. I didn’t want to say to them, “I am a ______, and partner with a zodiac sign.”

It may seem so harmless, but I will only identify myself as a child of the living God and any other identity He gives to me. I have learned the incredible power of every word I speak.

But! I wanted to talk with them and I didn’t want to hurt their feelings in any way at all! Soooo… when we are faced with things of this world, we do not have to partner with them as a way to be kind!

We can just be kind! I told the two women. I don’t believe in horoscopes or follow them, but my birthday is in August. They responded with, “We were curious about your sign because you are so chill and relaxed.”

To which I began to smile and laugh and blush like a bride!

I replied, “Oh that is all Jesus! I could never be like this on my own, but Jesus gives me everything I need. I can only parent 5 kids because Jesus continually pours into me.” They agreed with me and were like, “Yes! Amen!”

And just like that I shared the source of my joy! The source of my strength! The source of my being chill and relaxed on a hot day at Busch Gardens in a long line.

Jesus. Jesus. JESUS!

And no zodiac sign was going to get the credit for my peace! Jesus alone would be glorified!!! And the ladies and I continued to talk. When the ride was over, we wished eachother a great day at the park.

Friends, we can be continually ready to blush like a giddy bride about our King! And we don’t have to partner with worldly ideas in order to be kind. We can stay both fully committed to Jesus Christ alone AND also have conversations and encouragement with others who may be at a different place in their walk.

So, be ready at all times to testify! To tell of His goodness. To share who has saved you and redeemed you and made you His very own!

And He is preparing a great reward for you! He has a mighty inheritance for us now which is the Precious Holy Spirit AND an eternal life with Him! We have a future! Just as a husband prepares for his family and their future, so our God is planning for our future and it’s for ALL of eternity. And it’s more magnificent than your mind can even dream up!

Two pastors at our church wrote and recorded this song about who we are as the bride of Christ. I encourage you to listen and soak in the powerful, scriptural truths in this song!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Wow! Wow! Wow! We, the church, are Your bride. You are cleansing us, preparing us, healing us, and setting us to shine bright for You like a city on a hill! You have come into covenant with us as Your people, Your Holy Ones, Your bride. You chose us even when we were still lost in sin. You bore our sins and washed us white and made us whole. Let us testify! Let us jump for joy and shout and tell everyone about Your goodness and mercy and love! Thank You Lord!

And if you mean that with your heart, you are saved and set free to live a new life free of sin! The Bible says you are now a brand new creation! Old things have passed away and new things have come!!! The Bible also says that all of heaven rejoices whenever a person is saved!!!! Just imagine the party being held in heaven on your behalf right now!!
