Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start!
A new day to rise and move with Jesus.
But something much more important comes before movement with God.
There is a space that God is calling you to.
A space where He can meet with you.
A space where He can speak with you.
A space where He can strengthen you.
A space where He can heal you.
A space where you can grow in relationship and He can reveal His faithfulness to you.
And this time and space is the most important part of your walk with God.
It’s the space where you will commune with God and your relationship will mature into one where you move from knowing about God to actually knowing Him.
And it’s from this space that everything else flows.
It’s the necessary place to receive fountains of living water.
It’s the necessary place to receive strength, vision, and affirmation.
And it’s not the same as praying on the go. It’s not the same as praying over your meal. It’s not the same as praying with your family or with a friend.
This type of prayer time is intentional, and your commitment to making time and space to meet with God, literally impacts and overflows into everything else.
The secret place was of great importance to Jesus.
He met with God regularly and away from others. People would be looking for Him and He would be off alone praying to the Father.
He left the busy ministry and even His disciples to spend time with God, the Father, alone. He would rise early or stay behind while they went on ahead.
He made time with God, the Father, a priority.
For from this relationship with God, everything else flows forth.
When tragedy or loss came, He went to the Father in prayer. When John the Baptist was beheaded, Jesus withdrew to pray.
When He needed to make important decisions, He went to the Lord in prayer. Before He chose and called His 12 disciples, He prayed.
Motherhood depends on you being filled by God.
Your workplace depends on you being filled by God.
Your friends depend on you being filled by God.
Any ministry opportunities depend on you being filled by God.
The power comes in the secret place. The anointing comes in the secret place. Discernment comes in the secret place. Healing, deliverance, restoration, and even the release of the Father’s plans to you comes in the secret place.
Jesus trained up His disciples to honor the secret place so much that after He had died and resurrected, He appeared to them while they were gathered together in prayer. And they were gathered together in a place of rest and prayer away from others where Jesus had appointed for them. He had demonstrated to them how to get away to the secret place. When He returned to them, they were waiting in a posture of prayer in a secluded area that He had shown them previously!
Practical tips for your secret place:
It’s a place set for you to meet with God away from distractions and people.
It’s a place you can access regularly and easily.
It’s a place that you can speak in private to the Lord.
It can be an ordinary place that you’ve set apart unto the Lord.
For me, it’s my closet. It is not a decorated space or even a very neat space. It’s filled with clothes and boxes, but when I enter it and get on my knees, I can expect to hear from God.
It can be your backyard, your porch, the bathroom, or even the driver seat of your car if needed. It’s simply a place away from others for you and God to be alone to communicate.
And if you haven’t heard from God in a while, honestly ask yourself if you’ve been meeting with Him regularly enough to know His voice.
And if not, the beautiful thing about God is His mercies are BRAND NEW every morning! You can start fresh and He is ready to meet with you!
His Word says that He draws near to those who call on Him,# and He bends down to listen when we pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Strengthen us to make meeting with you regularly in the secret place a priority. Move distractions out of the way. Give us a fresh hunger to meet with You and to stay longer in a posture of prayer time. Lord, reveal treasures to us in the secret place. Open our hearts, open our eyes, unplug our deaf ears, and guide our stubborn feet. Infuse us with boldness to preach the gospel and faith to carry out the full great commission of healing, deliverance, and walking with the gifts of the Spirit. Lord, release Your anointing to us, so that we can carry out ALL You’ve assigned us to without losing a single battle. Let us go from victory to victory to victory in the Name of Jesus! Amen.

And that you recieve Him as your Lord and Savior. That you are sorry for your sins and you recieve His FULL and complete forgiveness for every wrong you’ve ever committed. And that you are choosing to follow Him now and leave the ways of the world behind for the things of Jesus!!! And if you mean that with your heart, you are saved and set free to live a new life free of sin! The Bible says you are now a brand new creation! Old things have passed away and new things have come!!! The Bible also says that all of heaven rejoices whenever a person is saved!!!! Just imagine the party being held in heaven on your behalf right now!!
