Good Morning Gorgeous!!

It’s a brand new day. A fresh NEW start and ALL things are being renewed.

You are not who you used to be.

Your thoughts are changing.

Your reactions are changing.

Your perception and sight are becoming more focused and clear.

You are a mighty vessel that hosts the Presence of the Living God and He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world! If you’ve given your life to Jesus, then there is a beautiful promise available to you! The internal dwelling and counsel of the Lord Himself!

Let’s dig into the scriptures!

The prophet Isaiah revealed that God had a plan to save His people. The Lord had given them the promised land, safety from their enemies, and a moral code that protected them. Yet, the pattern continued of them turning to Him and rejecting Him, turning to Him, and then subsequently rejecting Him.

And in the midst of this rebellion, He promised a Savior. One who would be King, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Father, and the Prince of Peace. This was promised hundreds of years before Jesus’s birth. Jesus’s names were beginning to be revealed long before His birth. The saving,  the peace, the healing, and the friendship with God are all available because of Jesus. Jesus came to redeem all that was lost at man’s fall, including continual fellowship. He came to restore us to Himself as Immanuel and give us a most amazing, miraculous, hard to fully comprehended GIFT!

The gift of the Holy Spirit, a continual Counselor from within, is the Spirit of God Himself taking up residence on the inside of us. He instructs us and counsels us in all things! He is an amazing Gift that Jesus said He would send to His people after He went to be with the Father. Holy Spirit would be their sign of their Holy Inheritance. He promised to give every follower the gift of the Holy Spirit which would enable us to live and love and move through the earth like Jesus. Here are some of the prophecies about the Mighty Counselor, the Holy Spirit! These were given long before Jesus came to the earth.
He would cause us to be able to walk in the ways of the Lord. Ezekiel 36: 27

His laws would be written directly on our minds and in our hearts. Jeremiah 31: 33
He would come and inhabit the hearts of those who accepted Him by faith regardless of age, gender, or societal status. Joel 2: 28

These promises reveal that He would directly counsel us from the inside. Before Jesus ascended to Heaven, He instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the power of the Holy Spirit. They watched Him ascend to heaven, and then together, they waited and waited. On Pentecost, they received the promised Holy Spirit.

Peter, the SAME Peter who denied Christ, now freshly filled with the Spirit of God, stood up and BOLDLY addressed the crowd. He told them that what they were experiencing was what was PROPHESIED by the prophet Joel. He announced to them that this is what they have been waiting for! Peter instructs the same crowd who killed Jesus and could also kill him, that they need to repent, believe, and receive. Many of them did! Three thousand people believed that day, and the church was birthed!

Since the day of Pentecost, the church has continued to be an unstoppable force that, as Jesus prophesied,

“Even the gates of hell will not prevail against it!” Matthew 16:18

Why? The church is made up of people filled with the very Spirit of the Living God. They receive insider information, counsel, and power from the Lord Himself. Believers have continuous holy intel from heaven!

You are equipped and enabled to reject your old sinful nature and be transformed every day. His thoughts can become your thoughts!

“We have the very mind of Christ!” 1 Corinthians 2: 16

What a promise. So whenever you feel weak, stressed, frozen in fear, stuck in a destructive pattern, unsure of what direction to take next, confused about a topic, or don’t know what or how to pray….. there is an answer to each of these situations already inside you.The gift of the Holy Spirit is accessed through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of your life.

You received the Holy Spirit when you first believed, and Jesus also taught us to pray for the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist said that he baptized in water, but Jesus would baptize with fire. Then, the Holy Spirit appeared like tongues of fire! After their baptism of fire, the disciples walked and talked differently.

Peter’s transformation demonstrates a radical shift from a debilitating fear of man to bold preaching! The Holy Spirit is how we live out a radical, bold, miracle-filled walk with Christ. Jesus taught His disciples to ask for the Holy Spirit, and throughout the Book of Acts, there are multiple accounts of people asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit and receiving it.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”  Luke 11: 13

Dear Lord,
          Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit! Thank You for how You manifest in Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Your Promises are accessible and for me. Lord, help me release all fear about receiving and walking in the Power of Your Holy Spirit. Lord, fill me with Your Spirit. Immerse me, baptize me fully and completely with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to recognize and listen to the Holy Spirit inside of me. I accept and receive Holy Spirit’s guidance, correction, instruction, and power.
