Prayers to JUMPSTART your day!

Good Afternoon Child of the Most High God!

My alarms are set to start going off at 4:00am each day. I don’t get up right when they go off, but I begin to pray. I am in a state between fully awake and still sleeping and I feel so close to the Lord right as I am greeting the day.

Sometimes as I’m praying I fall back asleep. Then, I’ll wake up and pray, fall back to sleep, and pray more.

I thought I would share what some of those prayers sound like. I don’t pray them in any particular order. I just talk to my daddy and these are some of the things I say.

However as I was typing them out, I realized there were different types of prayers. So I organized them into these categories.

These prayers are springboards that you could use, but when you pray, it’s really about entering into conversation. So relax and enjoy His Presence and sit for awhile and allow the Lord to speak back, remove the burdens, and fill you with His strength to start the day!

Good Morning Jesus,

Good Morning. Good Morning. Good Morning. I need You Lord. I need You today to hold me close and breath life into me.

Lord, I can’t do a single thing without You.

Magnify Him

You’re good. So good. You’re Holy. Worthy. Magnificent King. Alpha and Omega. The One that I serve. You’re my Savior, Redeemer, Lord of my life. The One that I run to. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. I LOVE You. I honor You. You’re my Creator and the Author of my life. The Author and Finisher of my faith. It’s a joy and an honor to serve You.

Gratitude Prayers

Lord, thank You for today. Thank You for another chance to get right what I missed yesterday. Thank You for breath in my lungs today. Thank You that I’m safe and my family is safe today. I am so grateful for Your Presence. So Thankful that You hear me when I pray. So thankful You’ve always been with me, that You’ve never left me and You never will. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit inside of me helping to do all You’ve assigned me to. I can do what You’ve called me to today because You will guide me and help me. I am never alone.

Invitation and Surrender

Lord, come. Come. Come. I need You. I need Your Presence. Your Voice. Your comfort. Lord, I need Your peace today. Lord I want to grow closer to You. A deeper intimacy with You Lord. Deeper revelation and deeper surrender. Lord, help me to walk in radical obedience.

Equipping

Fill me Lord with the strength I need for today. I can’t walk this walk without You. I can’t move without You. I can only do what You’ve called me to do with Your Strength, Your wisdom, Your power. Guide me. Be a lamp onto my feet lighting up the path for today. Tune my ears up to hear what You’re saying. Keep me steadfast fixed on You and don’t allow me to listen to any other voices today. Lord, send me today and give me everything I need to carry out the call!

Lay down your troubles

It’s heavy Lord. It’s heavy. I am afraid. Remove the heavy weight and give me Your light and easy one today. Lord, I give you every worry, every doubt, every fear, every burden, everything that is trying to grab my attention off of You and Your Promises. I give it to You Lord. Minister to my soul and give me the peace that Only You can give. The peace that is far more than I can comprehend. The peace the world cannot give and cannot take away.

Here I am Lord. Surrendering afresh to You this day! Have your way!!
