Good Afternoon Child of the Most High God,

It’s a BRAND new day. A fresh new start and all things are being made NEW!
✝️You are on the Mind of God!
✝️You are called by The Lord for such a time as this!
✝️You are here on purpose for a purpose.
✝️The Lord has goood plans for you!
✝️Jesus said He came to give you life and life more abundantly!
So if you are here on purpose and you have a God given destiny, why does it feel like just as we are making progress in an area, we begin to shrink back or slow down or even stop?
It’s now January 18th and many people made new year’s resolutions and goals that they’ve already abandoned.
Why?
And how do we stop the cycle of starting strong, moving forward, and then backing up?
I believe a huge part of breaking this cycle is learning how to respond to all of the voices.
There’s the
➡️ voice of the enemy,
➡️our own voice of self doubt,
➡️ AND the voices of others close to us that we love and respect.
And when these voices get LOUD, we slow down.
We pause.
We start to meditate on lies and half truths instead of the written Word or what God has spoken to us directly.
The voices sound like…
You’ll never…..
How will you ever be able to…..
This is too hard.
This won’t work.
This is for everyone, but me.
Why even bother?
There’s no way I’ll be able to……
Who do you think you are?
You’re not ……… enough.
You’re too…….
And on and on.
The tactic here is usually an assignment of the enemy to get you off course or at least slow down your growth.
How to fix it and build BOLDLY!
Let’s take a lesson from an amazing BUILDER, Nehemiah.
Nehemiah was a man of influence. He served the King and he spent so much time with the King that the King knew when something was off with Nehemiah. One day, he entered the King’s presence with a sad countenance, and the King noticed immediately.
Nehemiah must have been a joyful man because the King said he had never seen him sad before.
Nehemiah had received news that the wall of Jerusalem was knocked down, the Holy city was a mess, and the people were in danger.
Through a conversation with the King, he gets the blessing of the King to travel home to help his people. The King sends him with letters of protection, resources, and gives him time away.
He leaves everything comfortable behind to go build something unto the LORD.
Have you left something behind to follow Jesus? Are you laying something down unto Him?
Nehemiah is going into from the comfort of the King’s palace and great influence to a literal war zone.
And his arrival got the attention of some enemies who did NOT want him to help the Jews. They were against a move of God!
Just Nehemiah’s arrival on the scene, upset Sanballat and Tobiah.
Friend, your movement from Old ways to what God is calling you may have gotten the attention of the spiritual realm and there is an enemy of your soul that doesn’t want you to prosper.
Jesus said it this way, “The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I come to give you life and life more abundantly. ”
⚔️YOU have the VICTORY, but you must learn to battle well and KEEP building despite those who are upset by the call on your life.
So Nehemiah begins to REBUILD the wall,
And guess who shows up to question his motives?
Yep, Sanballat and Tobiah showed up and asked them if they were rebelling against the King.

Look at Nehemiah’s RESPONSE.
Nehemiah 4:4 ESV
[4] Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn back their taunt on their own heads and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives.
He magnified GOD and told the enemies of the building that they had no right to be there!
1️⃣Step ONE for you mighty Builder!
Accept that attacks will come and be prepared to speak back to them how BIG God is and that they have no right or claim to you. And sometimes the attacks are thoughts in your mind.
SPEAK BACK! Think back to how I opened this post up.
I am a child of the Most High God. He who called me here will sustain me. Every voice that is speaking against me or this assignment, go in Jesus’s Name!
I am here on purpose with a mighty destiny from the Lord and no lie or scheme of the enemy will stop me!
2️⃣Step TWO for you Mighty Builder!
Build. Start. Go. Pick the assignment back up. If you stopped early, get back up and go. If you started something in faith and quit when it got hard, it’s a NEW day. Try again.
And when the voices come again, they may come to mock your ability, make you feel small, or even mock the actual assignment.
That is what happened next to Nehemiah.
The enemies came again and were enraged that the building continued. This time they mocked the Jews ability and they mocked what they were building.

Listen, what you’re building MATTERS!
Whatever assignment God has given you, treat it as Holy Ground. Handle it with care and precision. Devote time to carrying it through to completion and when you hear voices mocking the assignment, cry out to the Lord and KEEEP building.
3️⃣Step THREE, Mighty Builder.
Remain steadfast.
And now finally, let’s see what happens when you get CLOSE to breakthrough. CLOSE to finishing. CLOSE to next level.
As Nehemiah and the people were closing the gaps and finishing the wall, Sanballat and Tobiah brought the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the Ashodites and they all plotted together to STOP the building.
And THEN their own people showed up to tell them to just come back home and stop! The Jews came from their houses to tell their own people to quit and come back home!

Some of you are wondering why it’s so hard. Why the attacks are coming from all sides. Why suddenly it’s coming from the enemy AND your own self doubt AND also people you love!
Because YOU’RE CLOSE! Take heart you’re almost there!
You’re soooooo close and well meaning friends and family who have watched your struggle may tell you to just come on back to the way things were! Stop the building process because it just got too hard!
The VOICES sometimes AMP up! They get MORE and LOUDER!
4️⃣Step FOUR, mighty Builder.
Remind your SOUL what you are fighting for!
Remember your WHY!
You may have to give yourself a holy pep talk and the people around you too.
Look at what Nehemiah told the people.
Nehemiah 4:14 ESV
And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”
5️⃣Finally, FORTIFY!
Put the systems in place. Put certain routines on autopilot. Make sure you’re caring for your physical body, you’re in the Word, you’re stationed at your building post everyday building, building, building.
And have your spiritual weapons READY! Prayer, the Word, your worship. Holy living. THE FULL armor of God!
Nehemiah 4:16, 18, 23 ESV
[16] From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah,
[18] And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me.
[23] So neither I nor my brothers nor my servants nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us took off our clothes; each kept his weapon at his right hand.
Blessings and KEEP building!
