Good Morning Child of the Most High God,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start.

All things are being made NEW.

To follow Jesus means a surrendered life.

A life that comes under His Lordship.

A life that is devoted to following His ways, His Word, and His leading.

If you’ve been struggling with cycles of sin, fear, confusion, insecurity, or oppression, one of the keys to your freedom is surrender.

Surrender says, “I’m all done doing it my way. I’m ready for Yours Jesus.”

Surrender says, “I’m hurting myself and others in this area of my life, Jesus come and free me.”

Surrender says, “It’s time I get serious and lay my whole life down at the foot of the cross.”

And something happens when we get before the Lord and surrender for real!

It’s totally supernatural and by the Finger of God.

He shows up and begins to make beauty from the ashes.

He sets us free from stuff we thought we would battle forever.

And fresh hope rises up inside of us to keep going.

🔥Notice the disciples left everything to follow Jesus.

🔥Apostle Paul left everything to preach Jesus.

🔥In the Old Testament, Abraham left his homeland to go to a place God said He would show him later.

🔥Noah lived a set apart consecrated life amidst an evil generation.

Following Jesus is NOT taking Him along and adding Him to YOUR life as an add-on.

Following Jesus IS a daily prayer of, “Not my will but Yours Lord.”

Following Jesus is become more and more like Him.

It’s desiring to be Holy for He is Holy.

So often I get asked, “How do I surrender? I don’t know how.”

The Bible says life and death are in the tongue and those who love it will eat of its fruit.

What you SAY is what you will WALK in.

If you declare often what a mess you are, that you’ll never get it together, that life’s unfair and you’re not going to get ahead, you’ll never get through, never make it out, never kick the addiction, never be free…. guess what? You’re right, you won’t!

You’re cursing your own life with your tongue. You’re speaking death over your own life.

And the same works with life! The power of LIFE is in your tongue. And now in the NEW Covenent of Jesus Christ, there is power and freedom and healing and newness of life available in HIM.

So wow, prayers of surrender to Jesus Christ giving Him Lordship to every area are powerful!

So powerful that you may find that as you pray, your heart races and fear may grip you. It’s okay. Remind your soul that God’s plans for you are gooooooood.

Jeremiah 29: 11 says.

You can TRUST Him with everything!

If you don’t know how to surrender, just start with declaring it with your tongue. Go through EVERY area of your life in your prayer time and tell Jesus He can have it all. Here is an example of how you could start!

Dear Lord,

I surrender everything to You today. I am serious about this faith walk and I am all done doing things my way. I want You to be Lord of my whole life. Come and mold me, shape me, mold me. Work out the parts that need to GO. I trust Your shaping of me and my life.

Come Lord and have Your way. Come and take the highest place in my life. I trust You. I trust You. I trust You. I trust You to be Lord in EVERY area.

I surrender my mind..May all my thoughts be obedient to Christ. Lord, help me to recognize when my thoughts don’t match up with Your thoughts about me. Teach me to think like You Jesus and teach me to be mindful of Your Voice speaking to me. Lord, be the loudest voice in my ear and another voice I will not follow.

I surrender my will, my plans, my desires, my ways, my destiny all into Your Hands. Come Lord and have YOUR way in my life. My future is Yours. My Present is Yours.  My whole life is Yours.  I trust You. I trust where You’re leading me.  You can remove what needs to go and bring in what needs to come. Give me ears to hear, eyes to see, and Feet that obey!

Lord, I surrender my emotions unto You. May my feelings be lined up with truth. Lord, I surrender the fear, the anxiety, the depression, the pain, ALL of it Jesus.  I am bringing the depths of my pain to You and inviting You into it. I am recognizing You as Healer, Savior, Redeemer, and Lord.. Come and touch the pain, the loss, the rejection and fill me up with TRUTH. I am laying this all down at Your feet today. I’m giving You the heavy burdens and trusting You to heal and set me back on solid ground.

And….as I started writing these out, the blog post got so long, that I feel led to break the rest of the prayers up over the next several days.

Your tongue has so much POWER!

So for today, your assignment is…… Begin to pay attention to the words you are speaking.  Guard your tongue and everytime you start to speak death over yourself or another person, INSTEAD say,

I am in process or my child, spouse, etc are in process.

Lord, I invite You into this area and  surrender it over to You.

Help me to only speak LIFE over myself, my future, and others today.

Be blessed and speak LIFE today!
