Monday’s post: I trust You Jesus.

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new week. New. New. New. His mercies are afresh and anew each dawn. He has created a beautiful illustration for us as he clothes the day in darkness, washes it away, and starts again with a fresh sunrise that never looks quite the same as the sunrise the day before. Yesterday has passed, it is a new day to conquer in Christ.

I found myself in prayer this morning just saying. “I trust You. I trust You. I trust You. I trust You.” Again and again and again, I told the Lord that I trusted Him. I have done this before. In the midst of one of the scariest seasons of my life, I would just repeat this 3 word sentence over and over. I would rise in the morning and say, “I trust You.” I would drive and say, “I trust You.” I would cry and sob and say, “I trust You.” Our words are so powerful. What we speak aloud has creative power to shift and move things. What we speak also has power to get down into our heart, and to become an agreement in our head that becomes part of our belief system. And from our beliefs we interact with everything a certain way.

If we believe with every fiber of our being that we can trust the Lord, our interactions with Him will be clothed in safety. We will cry out and expect an answer. We will pray, and we will experience hope as we wait on Him. We will listen expectantly for His answers. And when He directs, we will obey Him even if when obedience is difficult.

When we trust God, its impacts every area of our relationship with Him. When we trust God, we believe His word. We believe the promises in the Bible to be true and for us. We believe that His ways are better than our own ways. We believe that He has good plans for us. We trust that even when tragedy strikes, it doesn’t change a single thing about the goodness of our Father.

When we trust someone in the earth, it brings us close together. We share openly. We spend time together. We run to them to tell them the good and the bad. We feel safe and secure with them. When we don’t trust, there is no safety. A relationship that you can’t trust is scary and you feel vulnerable and open to harm. You guard yourself and your heart. You are careful around them. You keep things to yourself and you filter what you can share and what you can’t.

You don’t have to withhold a single thought, fear, doubt, tear, worry, or situation from Jesus. You can lay it all before Him.

You can trust the safety of Jesus. He has fashioned and formed you. He has planned you before the foundations of the earth. He has chosen you for such a time as this. He has good plans for you and for your children. He is a good, good Father who will never leave you, and never forsake you. You can trust Him and find safety in the shadow of His wings.

What we declare aloud has power to shift our perspective, our beliefs, and even the atmosphere around us. Spend some time today saying aloud to Jesus, “I trust You. I trust that You have a plan and a purpose for me. I trust in Your goodness. I trust that You are working everything in my life for good, even the things that I don’t understand. I trust in Your plans. I will experience Your goodness here on earth. I trust You Jesus. I TRUST You Jesus.”

These kinds of conversations with the Lord can be emotional because until we speak it aloud, sometimes we don’t realize that we ever doubted it. Yet as you speak it to Him, it feels different. You can feel the faith rising up and the doubt shrinking. Our words are oh so powerful. Every word that leaves our mouth has power. We can create, build, beautify, empower, heal, love, and encourage with our words, OR we can destroy, harm, crush, or defile with our words.

Let your words be a powerful force of love in the earth today. And let your declarations to God that you trust Him move you to a place of safety in Him. Regardless of anything that comes at you this week, you can flee to Him for safety. You can trust Him to shield you, heal you, and set you back on solid ground time and time again.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I trust You. I Trust You. I Trust You. I trust You. I Trust You. I Trust You. I Trust You. I Trust You. Move us Lord to a place of trust and safety in our relationship with You. In Jesus name, Amen
