Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new week to walk in the ways of the Lord. A new week to sow peace, patience, kindness, self control, and most importantly: LOVE.

For what you sow, you will reap. Be wise to what you plant and plant purposefully and intentionally. Sometimes we plant unknowingly and unwillingly, yet nevertheless, we plant things like anger, envy, frustration, fear, and even hate.

Where we spend our time, our money, and our energy is our sowing. Everytime you say yes to something, you are sowing. When you spend time with your family, you are sowing. When you are working, you are sowing. When you pray, you are sowing. When you love, you are sowing.

What you sow into is the same harvest you will reap. In the physical realm, what you plant into the soil is what you will harvest. You don’t plant tomatos and reap strawberries. If you plant an apple tree, the tree will not sprout orange blossoms.

The same principle applies to the way we live our lives. Whatsoever we are sowing, is what we will experience in our harvest.

A farmer does not plant without first planning out the harvest. A farmer decides what he or she wants to reap, and then intentionally plants THAT seed. If they want alot of tomatoes and less beans, then they plant more tomatos and sow the beans sparingly.

We can be JUST as intentional in our daily living. We can plan backwards like the farmer. What do we want to harvest in our lives? What do we desire to experience more of? What do we long for?

More peace? A closer relationship with the Lord? More boldness in Christ? More patience? A closer family?

Even as we think about our longings, we may need to bring those to Jesus. For before we can sow into the garden of our heart, we must intentionally choose seeds that will produce the harvest that will grow us stronger in our walk with Jesus.

The beautiful news is today is a fresh new start, and if we don’t like what we’ve been sowing, we have immense power to plant something else.

Need to harvest patience? Bring your desire to the Lord in prayer, and then intentionally choose to plant seeds of patience. Intentionally choose to be patient even when it is difficult. When a moment of frustration arrives, change your perspective and view it as a chance to sow a seed of patience. Instead of giving an angry, frustrated response, choose a kind, patient answer.

In these moments, you are intentionally planting a garden of patience. What you sow, you will reap. If you sow patience, you will reap patience. If you sow time, energy, and love into your family, you will reap a strong family. If you sow into your walk with Jesus, your relationship will grow stronger.

The best news ever is….Jesus can be your personal, master gardener. Invite Him into your garden. Allow Him to remove seeds that you accidentally or unintentionally planted. Invite Him to plant the seeds of life in your heart. Allow Him to show you how to sow your time, your talents, and even your finances. He will help you plant intentionally, and harvest a life filled with joy. Joy that the world in all its riches CANNOT give. Joy that comes only through Jesus and His abundant harvest.

Gorgeous girl, it’s going to be an amazing week! Go forth today filled with the overflowing love of Jesus. As you go forward today, think about the garden you want to harvest. Invite the Lord into your garden.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your goodness and your mercy. Lord, come into our hearts and show each of us areas that we need to intentionally plant more of to reap a fruitful harvest. Give us opportunities to sow and reap according to Your Word.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Blessings!

Vanessa Lynn
