Gooood Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day to breathe in the gift of life. A new day to rise with gratitude that we have another opportunity to tell the people closest to us that we love them and cherish them. A new day to fulfill what the Lord has called us each to do: love.
I am reading the book of Joshua in the Old Testament and 2 Corinthians in the New Testament. And this morning I am just reveling in the amazing God we serve who has been calling us back to relationship with Him since the moment that relationship was broken when sin entered the world.
He gave us free will and free choice, so we have the ability to decide between life or death, blessing or curse, truth or lies.
But along with free choice, He has poured out His love abundantly through every generation. He so fiercely loved the Israelites and desired abundant blessing and life for them. He went to great lengths to redeem them and to guide them and deliver them and teach them and to help them to live the abundant life He planned out for them. But after all of His preparations and plans, they still had the right to choose between the Lord’s ways that led to life or their own ways that led to destruction. And throughout the Old Testament, they swing back and forth between obedience and abundance to deception and destruction. As they strayed away from the Lord, their choices brought upon them their own destruction. Yet, the faithful loving God He is, He keeps working through them and writing a beautiful love story of a God who is passionate about His people.
Then, He makes the ultimate sacrifice, He chooses to leave His seat in Heaven and dwell among His people. He chooses to take on the constraints of the flesh and to be fully God in Spirit and fully human in flesh at the same time. He walks and lives and eats and dwells among His creation to show that He is a God who understands. A God who is not willing to look away and leave His people alone to choose their own destruction. Rather, He chooses to make a way for them to live an abundant spiritual life while here on earth. He makes a way for us to be in constant conversation and communion with Him so that nothing can separate us again. He lives and dies for us and then sends the Holy Spirit to live inside of every believer who says yes to Jesus and believes in Him.
While He offered the Israelites abundant provision with land, crops, and wealth in the Old Testament, He is offering us an abundant provision of peace, joy, and spiritual closeness with Him in the New Testament.
The choice remains ours… will we choose Him and His ways that lead to abundance? Will we choose to enter into His Presence and recieve the gifts He is offering with open Hands? Will we exercise the gift of prayer and direct access to God?
Because of Jesus, we have a direct access line to the Lord! He has torn down the veil and every stronghold standing between humanity and Himself. He is available to help us, to heal us, to comfort us, to provide peace and provision. Yet, we have to reach out and access what is available.
If you need Him today, in any area of your life, you Gorgeous girl have Him! He is only a prayer away. And the beautiful thing is, the more desperately you need Him, the greater His provision. He will come to you and amaze You with His ability to care for your every emotional, spiritual, and physical need. But our part has remained the same since the beginning of creation, we have to choose Him. He already chose us.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of Yourself poured out onto Your people. Thank you that we can talk to You, cry out to You, lean on You, and trust in You. Lord, help us to boldly trust You and Your promises. Help us to keep choosing You every day of our life. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
Blessings to all of you today!
