Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. Yet again the Lord has been merciful to shower us with fresh anointing for the day. A new equipping to do hard things. A new grace. The Lord is continually doing a new thing in our lives. As we seek Him, He will continually be working in and around you. Equipping, enabling you to do the very things you counted yourself out of. The things that are yours in Christ, but you never felt able to pick them up… there’s a new strengthening and a new grace available to pick up what is ours in Christ.
Freedom from everything that holds you back in your faith walk is available.
Freedom from lies of the enemy is available.
Freedom from old hurts, bumps, bruises, and scrapes.
Freedom and healing salve for new and current hurts.
Freedom from crippling fears that stop us in our tracks.
Freedom. Is available through Jesus. He set us completely free. We still have to choose to walk free. Because of Jesus and the equipping of the Holy Spirit inside of you, you can take off every heavy weight including sin that is holding you back and keep on running toward Jesus! Just keep your eyes ahead. Don’t look left or right. Don’t spend time agonizing over what is left behind you. Just forge on ahead Gorgeous girl! You have the endurance you need to keep going.
Don’t worry about speed. This is not about a flashy speedy race. Its about steady progress. Sometimes walking, sometimes running, sometimes sprinting. The speed isn’t the issue, it’s the continual daily choice to stay on the path, taking off the things you’ve already been set free from.
These verses in Hebrews are pretty well known verses, so I want to share them first…. then after I read through Hebrews 12, I got to 12:12 and I saw something I didn’t see before! Here is Hebrews 12:1-3.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. Hebrews 12:1-3
Beautiful right!!!!
Strip off every weight, keep running, feast your eyes on Jesus, don’t grow weary and don’t give up.
Then if you keep reading…. this is 12:12
So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Hebrews 12:12
That will be my prayer for us this morning! That we can breathe in deeply this morning, wipe our sweaty brow, take a fresh, new grip with our tired hands, strengthen our knees, dig our feet into the ground and keep going.
I love, love, love this visual. I never noticed this verse before. It’s perfect for a gentle reminder that you Gorgeous girl CAN do hard things. You CAN rise again after a fall. You CAN begin to walk forward again after being still for awhile. You CAN look ahead instead of back. You CAN strip off the things that have been holding you back. You CAN forgive even when it’s the hardest thing you’ve had to do. You CAN move into the new territory, He is calling you to. You CAN. You CAN. You CAN. Take a new grip and strengthen your knees. You are moving forward.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray for a new strengthening. That we would be able to take a fresh, new grip. That You would help us strengthen our wobbly, weary knees so we can keep going with endurance and staying power. In Jesus name, Amen.
Blessings,
Vanessa Lynn
