Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. God’s mercies are brand new every single morning. If you struggled or failed yesterday, arise! Today could be your day. This is a new dawn, a new chance, a new opportunity.
I have been struggling for about a week to rise and write. There has been a message of salvation grace that I desire to communicate, but it’s been a battle to arise each morning. And once the kids are up, writing isn’t happening. So with each morning this week, the dawn would lighten up my bedroom with its blue hue, and I would know… “I missed it again.” I would begin my day already feeling defeated. I prayed and prayed for help to break through whatever was hindering me. I reached out to a friend who encouraged me to push through. She told me that God must want to say something important to me, and the enemy wanted no part of it. She checked in on me and kept praying. She told me to keep pushing because when breakthrough comes, its going to be marvelous. Those words of encouragement were exactly what I needed to push a little longer. Thank goodness for praying friends!!!
Then, my husband reminded me that I often say that the hardest part of climbing a mountain is right before you reach the top. Yes! This helped it all to click and gave me resolve to keep pushing ahead.
Right before your breakthrough, the trek has worn you down. You’ve been hiking uphill with all you’ve got, and those last few uphill steps are often the hardest. Its hard to breathe, the climb is steep, and you are weary. Yet, when you are here in this hardest section of the journey, don’t you dare give up.
The enemy will lie and whisper that it will be easier to quit. Or that it’s not worth it. He may even have you look down and look longingly at all you left behind at the bottom of the mountain. He might tell you it is easier to go backwards than upwards. Don’t buy a single word. You are a child of the living God. No lie of the enemy can stick and no weapon formed against you can stand inthe Presensce of Jesus. Climb my friend. Dig in your heels, steady your feet, cry out to Jesus, and keep climbing. You are almost there! The Lord will equip you for each step. As you pray, He will give you exactly what you need to press on. He may provide a praying friend, a word of encouragement, a verse, an overall renewed strength and resolve, or whatever else you need for your personal mountain.
And when you reach the top, you will know why the enemy was fighting so hard to keep you back. From the top of the mountain, you can see everything. Perspective shifts from the rocky terrain that was just all up in your face to the magnificent wonders in front of you. You can see it all from the 360 view of the mountain top. You can see what you left behind, you can see all the battles you fought and won as you climbed up the side of the mountain, you can see up ahead, and suddenly it all makes sense. You know where you are going and you know why you had to climb the mountain in the first place. Clarity comes at the top of the mountain!
And so keep pushing friends, keep climbing, keep praying, keep going. The mountain top view is so worth the climb. Don’t give up, and don’t look down. There’s nothing back there for you. Forge ahead. There is beauty up ahead.
I am going to keep pushing and praying so that I can clearly articulate the message of God’s Saving Grace. I won’t stop climbing my friends! I will keep going because I know breakthrough is coming! Oh…. and since I was able to rise this morning in the dark to write, that means…….GRACE WINS!!!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your goodness as we climb the mountains. Lord, strengthen our resolve, and help us to keep going..to keep moving…to keep praying..to keep pushing ahead for breakthrough even on the toughest of days. Lord, help us to put our eyes on You as we climb. Drown out the lies of the enemy and help us to clearly hear our Shepherd’s voice. In Jesus’s name, Amen..
Blessings my friends! Keep Climbing!
