He is Writing a Symphony

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. Soon, the dawn will break and the sun will rise covering everything with its sweet, cleansing light. Just as the darkness doesn’t last forever, neither do our dark periods, our seasons of struggle, or our winters. These periods will come up in our lives, but as we seek the Lord and lean into Him, He makes beautiful things even from the dust!

He created the first human from the very dust of the earth, and then breathed life into Him. He made Adam and all humans after him in the Lord’s own image. We reflect the Lord in our design. And our lives are the same! When our lives are submitted to the Lord, He also takes the dust and the ashes and makes beauty arise out of even our most painful moments. He can and does work all things for the good of those who love Him.

I’ve been listening to the song, “Symphony” quite a bit lately. It’s all over Christian radio, and it’s so gooood. I looked up the meanings of the word symphony this morning to see if there were any additional meanings and there were! In addition to a musical composition, it can also be:

Something regarded, typically favorably, as a composition of different elements.

Example in a sentence: “autumn is a symphony of texture and pattern”

Well that meaning hit home! Isn’t that exactly what life is like: a composition of different elements! Those elements all working together form us and our life here on earth. I like the part in the definition that says.. something regarded typically favorably because that’s what God does.

He turns the tide, splits the sea, flings open doors, creates opportunity, makes new relationships, and orchestrates miracles from the dust and ashes of our lives.

When you hit what you think surely must be the end, God can step in and make it a brand new beginning. That’s what He does when we invite Him into our lives and give Him room to move. He takes the challenges, the pain, the struggle, and the heartache, He weaves in goodness and laughter and new opportunity, and opens fresh doors. Then from the ashes, our lives become a symphony. Rich and textured with a variety of notes and instruments. Some low and some high. Some soft and some loud. All together creating beauty.

My symphony today is my precious family. We were brought together out of ashes and pain. Divorce, abandonment, heartache, trauma, loss, and through all of that the Lord weaved together my precious family. What you see in this picture is a second marriage, a redemption story in which God pulled me out of the muck, rinsed me off, and gave me a new chance. You see my five precious children. My oldest two born to me biologically, and my youngest three born to me through the miraculous blessing of adoption.

God moved mountains to bring us 7 all together. It was miracle after miracle and valleys of tears as He wrote my symphony. And He continues to weave beauty right into my pain today. God is gooooood! And He is writing a beautiful symphony in your life and mine. Lean into Him today and trust that it will all work out for good.

Gorgeous friends, your symphony is going to be grand and absolutely beautiful!!!!

Dear Heavenly Father, we submit our lives afresh to You. We trust You as the author of our lives. Thank You for making a symphony from all the pieces of our lives.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Sometimes its hard to breathe
All the thoughts are shouting at me
Tryna bring me to my knees
And its overwhelming

Darkness echoes all around
Feels like everything is crashing down
Still I know when my hope is foundAnd it’s only you and oooh

You say you’re working everything for my good and
I believe every word

‘Cause even in the madness, there is peace
Drowning out the voices all around me

Through all of this chaos
You were writing a symphony, a symphony

And even in the madness, there is peace
Drowning out the voices all around me

Through all of this chaos
You were writing a symphony, a symphony

To my heart, do you beat?
Let me be your melody
Even when I cannot see

But you orchestrate it
Even when the dark surrounds
You’ll never let me drown
I know that my hope is found

In the name of Jesus

You say you’re working everything for my good and

I believe every word

‘Cause even in the madness, there is peace
Drowning out the voices all around me
Through all of this chaos
You were writing a symphony, a symphony

And even in the madness, there is peace
Drowning out the voices all around me

Through all of this chaos
You were writing a symphony, a symphony

Yo, I wanna truly know

If you can pause beautiful
Music though
From all my unruly notes

The distance
Is distant, it’s moving close

Now I see
Erase the scales from my eyes
Then play the scale of my life

can’t y’all play off with chord and a crow with a source
Prevented through strife and
I’ve tasted suffering
I’ve been embraced by the painful buffering

I’ve been down by doubt, so loud right now
But a melody is made when you play these rusty keys
So we all gotta get pressed
Tuned up like instruments

But I know all of life is trickled with strife
Whatever we remember this

That even in the madness, there is peace
Drowning out the voices all around me

Through all of this chaos
You were writing a symphony, a symphony

And even in the madness, there is peace
Drowning out the voices all around me

Through all of this chaos
You were writing a symphony, a symphony oh…

Ooooh oh oh
Ooooh oh oh
A symphony

Ooooh oh oh
Ooooh oh oh
A symphony
