Lord, Come and Build our Home

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. A new dawn is ahead. A new chance to hand the Lord the power tools.

The verse of the day is so good once again today. A short truth bomb:

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. Psalm 127:1

This scripture can become our constant prayer. Lord, please come and build our lives on this rock of Jesus. Lord, come and build our home on solid rock. Be the builder of our lives.

Jesus also taught about how to build our lives:

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24‭-‬27

The Old and the New Testament verses both direct us to be mindful of how we build our lives. That when we build with the Lord on His solid words, our lives will able to withstand the storms of life. When our trust and our hope are found in Jesus, then we will not be shaken.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Come and build our lives on the solid rock of Jesus. Lord, equip us with the tools of heaven to build our lives according to Your plans and Your purposes. Lord, open our eyes to the blueprints You have laid out for us. Lord, help us to submit to You in the areas that only You can build, and equip us to build all of the other areas that You’ve entrusted to us under Your careful supervision. Lord, guide our feet. Enable our hands to work unto the Lord and not under any other building supervisor. Lord, be the foundation of our lives. Help us to have discernment of what materials are pleasing to You and what has to go. Give us strength, wisdom, and courage to build a life rock solid in the Word and Promises of God..Lord, let Your Word be the foundation, and the structure, and the building materials..let our whole lives be hand crafted by Your Word. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Blessings and Heavenly power tools!
