Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. Another sunrise. Another opportunity to grow and stand firm. Another day to release all that is behind and look forward to all that waits ahead!

I often struggle with fear. Different types of fear, worries, and concerns for various reasons and occasions. And one thing about following Jesus is He continually calls me forward and He calls me brave. He trust me to do things waaaaay beyond my comfort zone and waay beyond my own capacity or ability apart from Him. And just as I step out and follow Him and become comfortable in whatever He has me doing, He calls me forward AGAIN.

A life of following Jesus is a life of continually moving ahead with Him into territories we never would have dreamed possible unless He made a way.

He calls me brave. He names me with courage and confidence and He calls me to step out of the boat and trust that I will walk on the water because of His power not mine.

So, here I go stepping out again with Christ. I shared a few weeks back that God put it on my heart to attend a conference at church. I wrote for almost a week about Jesus calling Peter out of the boat, and I kept referring to it as stepping out. Then, on Friday of that week, I realized that the conference at church was called, “Stepping Out” and the verse of Jesus calling Peter forward was on the front page of the website.

Well, I signed up that Friday…..And the conference is now here. For the next three days, I will be attending a conference that is about moving beyond our comfort zone and stepping out to know God deeper and to make Him known to others. It is a hands-on conference in that we will worship, learn through prayer, teaching, and preaching, and THEN we are heading out into the streets of our city to pray with people. This is brand new territory for me, but I know if God put this on my heart, He will sustain me all three days. I don’t feel equipped, worthy, or ready. But neither did Peter when He stepped out onto the water. I know that God calls me worthy because of Jesus, and I know that I will be equipped and readied by the Holy Spirit.

So friends, whatever God is calling you to, He has whatever you need available and ready to make you brave. He will continually call you ahead, and He will also be right there giving you EVERYTHING you need in each moment.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for continually making us brave. Thank You for calling us forward and ahead. Thank You for the strength and the equipping to step out of our boats.
