Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day to get into the Presence of God and let Him fill you to overflow with His goodness. Saturate yourself with Him, so that you are like a sponge so filled up by His love that everyone who encounters you can feel it.
When you spend a lot of time with someone, you begin to find yourself talking like them. The two of you will begin to think similarly. You will enjoy many of the same activities. And the more time together, the more alike you usually become. I used to be a server many years ago, and so many of my elderly customers who were married looked like one another. The ones who were in their 70s and 80s and had been married their whole lives would look the same, talk the same, walk the same, and they almost always ordered their coffee identical. It was a lifetime of being together and they really looked more like one than two.
As we spend time with Jesus, we begin to reflect Him in the earth. As we spend time prayer, worship, and simply walking with Him each day, we begin to talk like Him, walk like Him, think like Him, and have His heart. We feel moved by what moves Him. We feel a desire for others to know the joy and freedom that we are experiencing as we walk with the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
And this shaping and molding happens as we submit everything we are, everything we desire, and everything we have over to Him. As we submit our ways to Him, He fills us with the ways of the kingdom. He gently teaches us how to love and generously serve others. We begin to say things we never said before. We begin to have wisdom we never had before. We begin to have solutions that we never thought of before.
Encounters with Jesus equip us for every other encounter throughout our day.
As you encounter Him, you will have new revelation of his goodness. That goodness will spill out all over those around you. When someone bumps into you, they will leave with a little bit of Jesus spilled out onto them.
And the beautiful thing about His grace is it’s available every single moment. You may not have been spending much time with Jesus lately. You may have been rushing through your days putting time with Jesus on the to do list but rarely getting to it. There is grace for that and He is ready to fill you back up to overflowing. He is ready to quench your parched spirit and fill up your soul. Seek Him and you will find Him. Knock and the door will be opened. Ask Him and you will receive. He will never turn you away as you seek Him more and more. And wherever you are in your personal walk, Jesus always has more for you. And the more you receive from Him, the more it will flow onto each person you encounter.
Here’s a song that can become our prayer: Let them see You in me.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for your goodness and mercy. Thank You for talking with us, walking with us, filling us, moving us, and strengthening us. Help us to draw close to You, so that we can overflow onto everyone we meet.
In Jesus’s name, Amen.
