Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. And there is beautiful news for you today. You have access to the Glory Cloud!
Imagine the time of Moses. The Israelites have been delivered from their oppressors. They have experienced the Lord literally splitting the sea for them. They have experienced His signs and wonders, and His Presence. He has given them the ten commandments and other rules to live by. They have experienced His saving, His correction, His provision, and His power. He has been frustrated with them to the point of nearly destroying them because they continually grumble and lose faith. They have not only watched God’s glorious power deliver them, they have experienced it. They have seen bread rain from the sky daily. They asked for meat and quail appeared. They lacked and He provided. They called out and He answered. They needed saving, and God showed up.
They are now free from Egypt, but they are not at the promised land yet. They are traveling. Moses tells God, “Where you go. I’ll go. If You’re not going, don’t send us.”
He has experienced the Lord’s guidance and His friendship. He would meet with God and talk with God. He clearly told Him, “If you don’t go, I’m not going. Where you go, I’ll go.”
The Lord has given Moses instructions to build a tabernacle of epic design. This tabernacle has to be portable because they are traveling. But portable doesn’t mean it was any less luxurious. God attended to every detail of the tabernacle, every detail. And there His Presence resided. The Presence of God settled on the tabernacle like a cloud. When the cloud rose, they would travel following the cloud. When the cloud stayed, they stayed!
Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out; but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted. So the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.
Exodus 40:35-38 NIV
We are now the tabernacle because of Jesus. He made us living temples of the Holy Spirit. We are made pure by Jesus, and we are holy people who house the Presence of God inside of us. We are walking Glory clouds. People can see the radiant light of the glory cloud on us. The Holy Spirit is alive and active inside of us. We can choose to allow Him to lead us all throughout our day. We can consult Him and talk to the Lord at every turn, every bend, or even just as we walk straight. He is here desiring us to just be in connection and conversation with Him.
And we can! We are no longer asked to stay back in our own tents while someone speaks to God on our behalf. Instead, we may boldly approach the Lord and speak to Him. We have the glory cloud leading us today!
So, stay close to the Lord. Don’t run ahead of the Presence of God. Don’t dig your heels in and stay put either. Instead, talk to God. Be aware of His Presence inside of you, and ask Him where to turn, where to speed up or slow down, where to stay straight, and where to rest. Lean into His wisdom and allow Him to be your strength and your guide.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Presence. Help us to recognize Your voice, Your leading, Your way. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
