Day 25: Christmas Day, Alpha and Omega

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start! And….. its Christmas!!!!

What a precious day in the earth and in heaven when Jesus came and breathed His first breath in His suit of flesh.

He came to save what was lost.

He came to redeem and restore.

He came to break down barriers of race, culture, gender, socioeconomic status, and anything else that divided people and offered the SAME gift of Himself to ALL.

You don’t have to be born into a culture to receive this gift.

You don’t have to work through a religious list of traditions to receive this gift.

You can’t buy this gift. Christ paid in FULL for you and me to have it..

He offers a free gift of salvation and reconciliation back to the Father TO ALL who call on His Name.

And Jesus, the One who gave Himself so freely and willingly for us is both the beginning and the end.

He is the beginning of everything. The One who authored creation. The One who spoke the world right into existence!

AND, He will return to finish it and redeem it and victoriously set up a NEW, restored heaven and earth.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus today, let us also meditate that the story didn’t end with the life of Jesus. The story had a major PLOT twist with Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection.

What looked dark, dismal, and headed for destruction was actually in process of being made new.

JESUS was born with the assignment to die..

The plan was written in the heavenly realm long before Mary conceived Jesus.

And the plan all pointed toward redemption of everything Adam, the first man, handed over to the enemy.

Now, the Lord Himself would become man, and conquer the enemy, triumphing over death, reclaiming the title deed to earth, and setting free His creation from the chains of sin.

Now instead of having the sin nature that we are born with, we are brand NEW creations who are given the likeness of Christ, the mind of Christ, and the Holy Spirit to empower us to stay in faith all the way to the end.

Friends, Jesus WILL return! But He is not coming as a meek and mild baby this time.

He is returning as the conquering King of Judah who will finish everything.

He speaks in Revelation and makes it clear who He Is. He IS both the beginning and the end. He will finish what He started.

If you’ve ever wondered if it’s important to study Revelation…….

Considering it’s directly from Jesus to the Church which represents all followers of Jesus, it has alot of very important revelation for us.

Revelation is a book of promises that will be fulfilled by Jesus.

Much of Revelation is red letter writing meaning it is the direct spoken words of Jesus.

And three times in Revelation, He calls Himself the Alpha and Omega. HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END.

He repeats it again and offers a free gift!

And then, here in the final chapter of the final book of the Bible, Jesus states it again, three times in three different ways.

I am the Alpha and the Omega.

The Beginning and the End.

The First and the Last.

It all starts with Jesus.

It all ends with Jesus.

He is, and was, and is to come.

Christmas Day today!! We celebrate His Precious birth and look forward to the Day of His Precious Return.

We will see and hear Him as He triumphs over all things that hurt His people.

We will behold the triumphant ending.

We will be resurrected and death will have no hold on us… all because of a baby born in Bethlehem in a manger.

Dear Heavenly Father,

What glorious things have taken place and what glorious things are ahead for those who place their trust in Christ alone. Thank You Lord for all you have done, all you are doing, and all that is still to unfold. You are the beginning, the end, and every chapter in the middle.

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen.

Blessings!

Vanessa Lynn

  1. You seem to mix two Biblical characters, on one hand Jesus, the son of God, and on the other hand the One Who said He is the Alpha and Omega. That last bit was not said by Jesus, but by his heavenly Father, the One and Only True God, Creator of heaven and earth.
