Clinging to the Father

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. All things can be made new in your surrender to Christ today.

This morning, I read this verse in my Bible in Deuteronomy. And what jumped off the page was the final phrase “Cling to Him.”

Here’s the verse:

Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.

Serve God alone.

Reverence Him.

Obey Him.

Listen to Him.

Cling to Him.

Today wherever you are in your walk, you can cling to Him.

A desperate clinging on for dear life kind of cling.

A cling that comes from revelation that He is your life source, savior, and protection.

A cling with both hands that’s all consuming and you can’t hold anything else except the One who saved your life.

A cling that comes from a history with God and knowing He really will see you through every season including this one.

A cling that reveals your trust in His leading.

A cling that is so strong no one can remove your grip from Your Savior.

Your clinging on for dear life today and everything you need, you will receive as you cling to the Lord.

Everything is made right when we stay in the Presence of the Lord and we operate in the earth from His garment.

We are like children navigating a new space while clutching the leg of their daddy.

Nothing will hurt them while clinging to the father, and so nothing shall harm you as you cling to your heavenly Father.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We grab onto You today and we refuse to let go! We refuse to accept any part of the world that is counter to Your ways, Your truth, Your safety, and Your promises. Help us to take a firm grip and cling tightly to You all day today.

In Jesus’s Name, Amen.

  1. Great verse to cling to! I’m always amazed by pieces of scripture I’ve read countless times and really just must’ve skimmed over it…and then one day (like this particular verse) I read it and I’m like how in the world did I miss this before? His word never gets old for reasons such as this!!
