Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day! A fresh NEW start!

We are just about to celebrate the start of a brand NEW year!

We know that God’s mercies are brand new every morning.

Fresh chances. Fresh grace. Fresh equipping. Fresh oil!

And as we step into a new year, may you get expectant for the NEW that God is going to do in your life!

He may be calling you to abide in Him.

To receive His Love in deeper revelations.

To deepen your strength or steadfastness in Him..

To grow in obedience.

To move with new levels of boldness.

To humble yourself to His ways over yours.

Each year, I pray into a Word that God wants to work into me and through me for the year. It’s a deep leaning in prayer of asking the Lord what He wants me to grow in or trust Him in more. Sometimes it’s where He wants to prune me, and sometimes its where He wants to teach, mold, or shape me!

Last year was a serious season and a challenging two Words: surrender and sacrifice.

And I did both. There were days where I would get in my prayer closet and just bawl before the Lord, “This is hard. This is so hard Jesus. ”

And in those moments, I literally felt strength rise up in me. I felt His JOY at my trust in Him to keep me steady when I felt like I couldn’t continue in my surrender and sacrifice. But He kept me.

He kept me.

He kept me.

He kept me.

And He will keep you toooo!

If you are wanting to lean into a Word from the Lord this year, He will give you one!

I encourage you to sit with Him and pray about what 2023 looked like. Be real and vulnerable in your prayers. What was hard? What felt crushing? What were the victories? Where are you right now in your relationship with God? Ask Him to show you a place to lean into with Him.

And sit in the silence with Him. Sometimes it’s uncomfortable at first. Just wait on Him. Many times He will show you a Word, a Bible verse, a vision, or just a knowing in your spirit.

And if you don’t get a Word right away. Keep your spirit open and ready to receive one from Him. It may come to you through a conversation with a friend, during your reading of the Bible, during a sermon, or even when you are just about your day to day activities.

Keep asking. What Lord are You wanting to do in me this year? I’m open Lord. I’m open to Your plans in my life!

A Word from the Lord NEVER returns Void. It always goes forth and produces what it was sent to accomplish. That’s why a Word from God is so so powerful!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray that You would impress a Word into their spirit. A Word that will be life giving, life changing as You bring it to pass. A Word directly from YOU that You will plant in their spirit and grow in the coming year.
