Do you have a Word from God for 2025?

Good Morning Gorgeous!

It’s a brand NEW day! A fresh new start.

And tonight at midnight will mark a whole NEW year!

Each year I pause to reflect on the past year and allow God to give me a Word for the New year.

My word last year was expand! I had no idea what it meant or how I was to obey this word.

But God knew!

And that’s the thing with the prophetic ministry of the Lord, He so often speaks a thing before it comes to pass. He reveals things to His people, and then as we take steps of obedience and faith, we see the Word come alive!

Our faith walk with Jesus can be exciting as we learn to lean into the prophetic way He speaks to us.

This year, I leaned in and just obeyed one day at a time. One assignment at a time. I didn’t have the big picture. I didn’t know how I would end the year. God said expand. And wow! He allowed me to do just that. All through His grace, His mercy, and His Holy Spirit alive on the inside of me.

I took a giant leap of faith and invested in education for myself. I purchased a Christian Coaching Course that taught me the skills needed to actually DO what God was calling me to do.

With solid step by step coursework, I was able to publish my first book in April.

Surviving the Midnight Hour: Walking in Victory Following Trauma, Loss, or Sudden Change

Followed by it’s companion workbook.

Next, I launched an online digital marketing business and helped other women start their journey too!

And then in the fall, I went back into deep building mode, rested from socials, and published another book! A full color coffee table book. Anticipating the Savior: A Journey through the Names of Jesus

This year, I also completed a 20 year teaching career to focus on my family, homeschool, ministry, and growing this amazing business that the Lord has gifted to me.

A year later and after reflecting, I now see the word He spoke to me at the beginning come to pass.

And now as we close 2024 and prepare for 2025, the Lord dropped a Word in my spirit that again I didn’t understand at first.

It was a prophetic instruction as well as a warning I believe.

He said to KEEP.

I brought that to prayer. What do you mean Lord?

And then literally as I was having a hard day at Busch Gardens on Sunday, the explanation hit my spirit!

Isn’t that just like God, to break into chaos and bring order and instruction!

I was looking at my kids as they really struggled with their behavior and the Lord reminded me how far we’ve come. How many trials we’ve overcome. How many traumas,  health, and behavioral mountains my babies and I have overcome by the power of the Lord.

And God showed me all I’ve built with Him this year. The things God and I have built together inside my home and influence outside of my home.

And God said,

Now as you move forward this year, you must KEEP the ground you’ve already conquered. This is the year to keep building in the same areas as last year so that you fortify and maintain all the land entrusted to you when you expanded last year!”

Whew! I immediately KNEW I had just heard from God.

Y’all I’m at a theme park.

The weather was rainy.

I was wet.

My kids were wet.

They were frustrated and behaving in not nice ways.

I was frustrated.

Chuck was frustrated.

And right there the Lord broke through and spoke with me about the power of KEEPING all the ground I have taken from the enemy by the grace of Jesus Christ.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

So my word for 2025 is KEEP.

I have a TON of verses that I will share in a separate blog post!

Did you have a 2024 Word?

and has the Lord dropped a 2025 Word into your spirit yet?

Blessings and let’s keep the ground we’ve battled so hard to get!!

  1. It seems like our church word this year is Isaiah 54 – enlarge, don’t hold back.
For me I felt the Lord say it is a year of Jubilee!
    I’ll take them both! 😀
