Good Afternoon Child of the Most High God,
It’s a brand NEW day. A fresh NEW start and all things are being made NEW.
Today on the way to school one of my sons said, “Today’s gonna be a goood day mom. I’m sorry for yesterday..”
I was like, “Yes!!!” This is what I’m talking about. God’s mercies are brand NEW everyday.
Each new dawn, we get new opportunities to get right what we messed up yesterday.
And so if you are trying to live a holy life unto the Lord, keeeeep going!
When you fall, when you have a hard day..confess your need for a Savior, invite Holy Spirit to lead you and equip you and ask to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self control.
Whatever you do, just. Keep. Going!
And keep giving it to God again and again and again and again.
This is post 3 on how to Surrender all to Jesus.
Part of Surrender is trust. You can surrender each and every area with confidence that God is working in ways you don’t always see or perceive with your natural senses.
Part of surrender is letting go of control and allowing the Lord to work it all out according to Romans 8:28
[28] And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
And when it comes to your marriage, the best thing you can do for it, is surrender it unto the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Prayer to surrender your marriage
Dear Heavenly Father,
I surrender my marriage to You. Lord, may my marriage be pleasing in Your sight. Lord, I give you access to every area of my relationship with my spouse. May our marriage be a three strand cord with You at the center of it all. Lord, strengthen my marriage to be a beacon of hope and light that shines with Your love and goodness. Mark my marriage and consecrated, set apart, Holy, and protected from the world. Help my spouse and I to set and keep boundaries that protect us from the distractions of the world. Keep us single minded on You first and then eachother, and then our children.
I surrender the desires of my heart for my marriage over to You Lord. I trust You are working IN and THROUGH our union.
I surrender my right to be right. I Strengthen me to love and honor my spouse at all times. Help me to be a vessel in which Your love flows through to my spouse. Remove pride from me and make me humble and willing to kindly listen to my spouse’s heart.
Lord, come and use my spouse and I to serve the Kingdom. May we be healthy and strong so we can carry out every assignment You have for us. Lord, I give You my spouse and their walk with You. Remove any wrong motive from me, any manipulation, or places where I have tried to manipulate their own spiritual growth. Lord, strengthen us together to carry out every single assignment You’ve entrusted to us. Help us to learn to carry heavy weighty assignments together by walking in step with eachother bold carrying the load and following You as You Lead us.
I trust You today afresh to work in my spouse’s life without me getting in the way. I trust You to work all things out for good. I trust You’re sanctifying us both and working in us both individually and together. I declare a fresh TRUST in YOU to care for my marriage and work it all out for YOUR glory!
Lord, my marriage is YOURS today. May it honor YOU and reflect You well!
