Good Afternoon Child of the Most High God,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh NEW start and all things are being made NEW.

Regardless of yesterday’s pain, today is a new day.

Today the sun will rise again.

Today you get a new chance and wow do I desperately need a NEW chance each day!

Some days more than others!

If you’re a parent, you know the heavy weight of the task of parenting.

From the moment you find out you’re going to be a parent, everything changes.

You see through a new lens, one of caution.

You begin to protect, guard, and make decisions with them in mind. 

The whole world looks different when you are a parent.

ALSO, if you are following Jesus,

and you’ve experienced His goodness,

and you know His promises for eternal salvation and also abundant life now,

Of course it becomes REALLY important that your children know Jesus and are walking according to His ways.

And so you teach them about Jesus.

You pray with them.

You take them to church.

You send them to youth groups.

You read the Bible with them.

And then………you battle.

You battle the lies coming against them from the world.

You battle against culture.

You live a life of walking with Jesus..

But some days it feels like you are battling against the forces of hell for your child.

And I have biblical news: you are.

The battle is actually in the unseen realm,

Ephesians 6:12 ESV
[12] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

For any parent who has cried out to the Lord for your child’s salvation, for their destiny in Christ to come to pass, for the schemes of the enemy to be broken off their life, may I encourage you?

When I was preparing to share this message, the Lord reminded me of the supernatural exchange Jesus promised to make with us.

Matthew 11:28-30 ESV
[28] Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The Lord reminded me that I could give Him the heavy burden and worry for my children and He would give me a light and easy burden.

May I encourage you RIGHT now?

Jesus has your children. He wants you to continue to speak into them, to guide them, to PRAY for them, but NOT to worry like you’ve been worrying. To be free from a spirit of FEAR and receive His peace and assurance that He has them and He has you!

Remember this verse:

Matthew 6:34 ESV
[34] “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I surrender my children to you right now in Jesus Name. I trust You. I believe that You have good plans for them and that You are working in their lives.

Lord, I surrender their pain to You and ask You to heal every hurt. Lord, I trust You have the salve that they need today. I know  You are doing a Romans 8:28 in their lives and working it ALL out.

Today, I surrender my fear, worry, and sleepless nights over to You and ask that You step into all the places I cannot be.

Lord, my children were formed and fashioned by YOU. You set them here on planet earth with a purpose FOR a purpose. Lord, I surrender them unto Your purposes and plans. Your destiny. May the divine gifts that You placed on the inside of them grow and develop more and more and be used for YOUR glory.

Remind me Lord to Pray for my child instead of being crippled by fear. Lord, I know You have them safely in Your hands.

Deliver them from the snares of the enemy. Just like You set free the daughter of the Canaanite woman so I trust that You are setting my child completely free and helping them to STAY free.

Lord, I surrender their minds to You. May they have the Mind of Christ. May every thought they have line up with what You say about them. May they walk in truth all the days of their life.

I surrender their destiny and their future to Your good plans. Lord, not my will and desires for my child, but YOURS.  Lord, may they walk in their God given purposes. May they accomplish every single heavenly assignment.

I surrender them to YOUR will for their life because I KNOW it’s gooooood!

Guard them Lord. Fortify their faith. Your Word promises that You Jesus the High Priest is praying for us. Mediate on behalf of my child. Draw them into the Kingdom, and keep them on the narrow path that leads to life.

Teach me Lord how to pray for them, how to instruct them in the truth, when to speak and when to stay quiet.

I completely and totally entrust my children to You and I receive Your ministry of peace.

In Jesus’s Name, Amen.

The Lord gave me this promise many years ago and I am speaking it over you now. Isaiah 54 promises that all if your children shall be taught of the Lord. Lean into this Word and soak in it. Make that beautiful exchange with Jesus. Give Him your heavy bag and take His light one. Trust Him that He is working behind the scenes. He is sending other trusted voices and mentors to speak the truth into them. He is pursuing their heart and drawing them unto Himself.
