Good Morning Child of the Most High God,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. ALL things are being made NEW and
Going Back is not an Option.
I saw a small detail in the the Bible this morning that grabbed my attention. It was the answer Abraham gave to his servant.
I share all the time how important it is to sloooow way down when you read the Bible, and soak in the details.
When Abraham was close to death, he called in his head servant and He asked him to return back to his homeland and find a wife for his son Isaac and bring her to the land where Abraham and Isaac were. (Remember God had called Abraham out of the land of his family and told him that He was going to give him and his descendants the promised land.)
Abraham was dying and hadn’t yet received the fullness of the promise even though he had experienced many answered prayers.
He was still holding onto the promise that the Lord would give him the land!
You can see it in his conversation with his servant. When Abraham tells the servant to go back to his homeland to get a wife for Isaac and bring her TO Isaac, the servant asks a good question….
What if she won’t come?

Notice Abraham’s response.
Do not bring Isaac back there!

Abraham had not received the land yet, but he obeyed the Word all those years ago and was still following God closely.
Abraham had his eye on the promise. Abraham continued to hold onto the promise even as he neared the end of his life. Abraham didn’t go back home AND he realized that the promise was now going to PASS onto his children!
Abraham repeated the promise to his servant! He reminded his own soul the promise and to send Isaac back would be going backwards.

If they did that, then the family would no longer be positioned to receive the promise!
They would be all the way back in the place God called them OUT of!
Friend, keep your EYE on the promise!
Even if you haven’t seen it yet.
Even if it feels far away.
Even if you’ve been telling your kids about the promise and there’s been no sign of fulfillment.
God builds generationally and faith is the currency of the kingdom.
Abraham died in FAITH and we see later in Genesis, Isaac repeats the promise and THEN Jacob repeats the promise.
You can’t go backwards just like Abraham kept his family building FORWARD.Â
You are building something with God that is leaving a lasting impact in the earth.
Don’t look back, you’re not going that way!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Remind us of the promises over our lives. Keep us holding onto them. Keep us moving in the direction of them. Keep us Lord in a posture to receive. We trust You Lord that You will fulfill the Word over our lives. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
Blessings and strength to keep going!
