I am brave enough to hand over the battles that belong to the Lord.

Good Morning Gorgeous,

Today is a brand new day. A fresh start. Today, recognize that not all of the battles you are fighting may be yours to fight. Some belong to the Lord. The battle that is making you weary and you can’t possibly see a solution in sight even though you’ve tried and looked at it from every angle. The battle that you’ve exhausted every possible way to solve it, fix it, battle it, and you are still anxious over the outcome. Sometimes these battles are best fought when released and handed over.

When you feels like it’s crushing in from all sides and there’s no escape except for a mighty miracle, you can rest assured God will show up. One of our weapons is the power of prayer and the courage it takes to admit the battle is bigger than us. You can cry out to the Lord in your distress and tell Him he is the only option in sight. Tell Him your fears, the battles you are fighting, the giants in the way of your breakthrough, call on Him. Give Him the terrible news you are holding inside. He can handle it. In 2 Kings 19, King Hezekiah is under attack by the huge Assyrian army. The news is bad. The Assyrians have already defeated many neighboring nations and the army is coming after the nation of Judah. King Hezekiah had NO way out. He had no other option at hand except to take the news to the Lord. Here is his prayer. He is desperate and he needs a MIRACLE…

15And Hezekiah prayed this prayer before the LORD: “O LORD, God of Israel, you are enthroned between the mighty cherubim! You alone are God of all the kingdoms of the earth. You alone created the heavens and the earth. 16Bend down, O LORD, and listen! Open your eyes, O LORD, and see! Listen to Sennacherib’s words of defiance against the living God.

17“It is true, LORD, that the kings of Assyria have destroyed all these nations.18And they have thrown the gods of these nations into the fire and burned them. But of course the Assyrians could destroy them! They were not gods at all—only idols of wood and stone shaped by human hands. 19Now, O LORD our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O LORD, are God.”

What God did next for Hezekiah and the people, He will ALSO do for you if you seek Him and tell Him your needs. As Hezekiah and all of the people slept, the Angel of the Lord fought the battle for them on their behalf and killed 185,000 Assyrians. When they woke up in the morning, the battle was over. The commanding Assyrian King and what was left of the Assyrian army retreated and went home. They had defeated many other nations, but they could not defeat the people who served the Lord. The Lord won their battle and sent their enemy packing all while the Israelites SLEPT. They were sleeping and God fought and won on their behalf. And that same God is our God today. That same God is still a miracle working God who cares intimately about you and your personal battles. He will come in when you invite Him into the battlefield. If you need a mighty miracle today, the kind of miracle that could only come by the Hands of an involved, all powerful God, you can exchange your weapons this morning for rest. Put down the weapons you’ve been using, and call on the One who can make the miracle happen. Praise Him, acknowledge His power over your situation, tell Him what you need in this battle, and ask Him to fight on Your behalf. Be even bolder and ask Him to give you enough peace to get some rest! Ask Him to allow you to sleep as He battles for you. It’s an amazing brand NEW day gorgeous girl. Keep scaling your mountain, but if there is a battle that is just too big for you alone, invite God in and allow yourself some rest today. Walk through today and be assured you have a mighty God on your side.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray for wisdom for every woman reading this. Wisdom to know what battles she needs to dig her heels in and keep enduring until she is victorious and what battles are no longer hers to fight. Show her the battles that are Yours and give her the courage and the faith needed to exchange her weapons for peace and rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
