“Come.”

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. Today is a great day to choose to keep your eyes set on Jesus. Last week we climbed up on the high Rock of Jesus and it gave us a higher perspective and made the things we were struggling against smaller. Today, I read the story of Jesus walking on water and his invitation to Peter to also walk on the rough sea. The disciples were at sea far from land. They were afraid because the wind had picked up and the sea was rocky. At 3am, they saw Jesus walking toward them on top of the wild, rocky waves. He said to them, “Do not be afraid. Take Courage. I am here.” Peter asked to walk on water too. Jesus invited him out on the wild waves, “Come.” Peter was able to walk on water too as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. When he looked around, he was terrified of the strong wind and waves, and he began to sink. He cried out for Jesus to save him, and Jesus with kindness and mercy lifted him out of the water and they climbed into the boat. The wind and the waves stopped. Jesus was in total control the whole time. Jesus is still in control today. There are so many layers and layers of good things to celebrate in this story. I am going to focus on what Peter was able to accomplish with his eyes on Jesus and when he accepted the Lord’s invitation to , “Come.” The earthly circumstances were scary. Trouble was all around. There was no land around. No other option except to bear the storm. Jesus was right there. He was walking on TOP of the storm. The crazy waves were under His feet. Jesus is Lord, so that may not amaze some, BUT what is even more amazing than our Living Lord walking on top of water is that He invited a man to also be filled with heavenly power and equipped to walk on water as well. As long as Peter looked to Jesus who was his power source, he was able to accomplish the impossible. He walked on wild, rocky, waves!!! It wasn’t until, he wavered, that he started to sink.

Gorgeous Girl, Jesus has empowered you to do the same! He has invited you to , “Come.” and accept your rightful destiny. He is inviting you to do the impossible, the wild, the things that are only possible by miraculous strength or divine intervention. Regardless of the wind, the waves, the troubles, the circumstances pressing in all around you, YOU are equipped to walk on top of all of it. When you fix your eyes completely on Jesus, you too can do the impossible. Your impossible can become possible when you step out of the safety of the boat and onto the wild waves. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Don’t look at the wind, the waves, or the struggle. Only look into the eyes of your Savior. He will keep you on top of the waves and walking out the impossible. This morning if the safety of land is far away and you find yourself in a boat with trouble all around you, God may be calling out for you to trust Him and just, “Come.” right out into the sea where He will give you Power to walk right on top of the troubles around you. Instead of harming you, God will put them under your feet and help you to walk freely.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your goodness and for the power of Your Word through the Bible. Thank You that through You all things are possible and we can walk on troubled waters knowing You are with us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
