Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. The sun is rising again and new hope rises as the sun comes up. Each new dawn is a reminder that God is continually making all things new. Continually redeeming and rescuing and restoring. His mercies over you are fresh and anew each morning. He is good and faithful to fulfill all of His promises. He made the promise of a Savior in the Old Testament through many of the prophets. He promised his people that He would save them. Then there were 400 quiet years with no direct revelation from God recorded. Between the time when the Old Testament ends and the New Testament opens with the birth story of Jesus, there is a span of time when the Lord is quiet. Then, as the New Testament begins, there is suddenly revelation after revelation. The Lord is not only speaking to His people again, He is coming to DWELL among them in human form!!! He begins to give revelation to Zechariah, then Mary, then Elizabeth, and then to a man named Simeon who had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Messiah.

This morning, I am sharing the scriptures that reveal what the angel Gabriel, Elizabeth, Zechariah, and Simeon proclaimed about Jesus. Reading it over 2000 years later, I am struck with awe over their wisdom and knowledge over who Jesus was. They could have only known that by the power of the Holy Spirit speaking to them.

The Lord spoke then and He is speaking now. He may have been silent for 400 plus years, but Jesus’s birth changed everything. He visited with His people in human form and the Lord has NEVER left us since because when He ascended to heaven, he sent us the Holy Spirit who now dwells in each and every believer. Because of Jesus, we never ever have to experience God’s silence for He is always with us and speaking to us. Today’s verse of the day in the bible app is Jeremiah 29:13. “When you seek me with all of your heart, you will find me. When you call on me, I will answer.”

The Lord is near you today Gorgeous Girl. Whatever lies ahead today, you have help. You have a God who is right by your side. He goes ahead of you, next to you, and behind you. Because of the birth of baby Jesus, we never have to experience God’s silence. What a reason to celebrate this Christmas!!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the ultimate gift of yourself.. Thank you for sending your son Jesus. The Lord as flesh to dwell among us and be our Savior. Help us to better understand this truth. Let us rest knowing You are with us today and everyday. In Jesus’s name, Amen
