Goood Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. A new week lies ahead, and along with the struggles, the pressure, the scheduled events, there will also be triumphs, pleasant surprises, opportunities, and joy filled moments. The Lord will go with you everywhere you travel this week. He will draw near to you when you call on Him. He will equip you for each daily walk. He will go on ahead when necessary and lead the way. Sometimes, He will walk right next to you. Other times, He may carry you this week. No matter the need, He will be there continually as you call on Him.
I finally finished Exodus. The Israelites have been sealed into covenant relationship with the Lord through Moses as the mediator and through the deliverance of the ten commandments. Now the Lord has given specific instructions on how to build the tabernacle, the ark of the covenant, the priests clothing, and how to offer sacrifices to the Lord.
The people are still on their journey, but the Exodus from Egypt has ended. There is no turning back. They are a sealed people unto God. They cannot be enslaved any longer. Now as they travel, they are learning the ways of God. He is teaching them how to interact with Him. They followed all of the Lord’s plans and instructions carefully for the building of the tabernacle, and the ending of Exodus is awesome!
The glory of the Lord fills the tabernacle! The Lord settles there, and His glory can be seen in the daytime as a cloud, and in the evening the cloud burns so that the Israelites can see His glory.
As long as the cloud symbolizing the Presence of the Lord remains
hovering over the tabernacle, the people stay at their camp..When the Presence begins to move, they move and follow Him wherever He is leading!
And that is how the book Exodus ends. With the glory of the Lord filling the space the Israelites created for Him. With the Lord and the Israelites together day and night. With Him leading and them following. What a beautiful picture of the early people of God.
And what a beautiful symbolic picture of our lives today. When you make space and room for the Lord in your life and in your heart, He will come and fill the space. When you carve out time to spend with Him, He will meet you in that space. He will fill you with His Presence. He will reveal things to you that make it clear when to move and when to stay. He will lead and you can trust Him to take you where He has promised to deliver you.
Moses followed all of the Lord’s specific instructions for the building of the tabernacle and the ark of the covenant. His obedience made a way for the Israelite people to encounter God, see God’s Glory in a cloud, and they obey God because they have experienced Him and are learning that His ways are better than their own.
Jesus did the same for us. He made a way for us to encounter God directly, to experience His Presence, and to hear from Him so that we can obey His instructions. The Holy Spirit lives inside of those who have declared Jesus as the Lord of their life and accepted Him as Savior. The Holy Spirit of the Lord will write His commandments on our hearts. We are the dwelling place for the Spirit of the Lord, and we have the awesome honor to be in constant communication with a Holy Lord because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
You are a child of the living God who all those years ago made a way for the Israelites to experience His Presence and be in relationship with Him. The same Lord made a way for you to experience His Presence today. He removed the regulations and the ordinances that kept people from experiencing Him from a distance and now He resides in the very hearts of His people.
So Gorgeous Girl, that means you have a direct line to the Lord. Every morning that you rise, you can enter His Presence. The same Presence that filled the tabernacle will fill you when you make room for Him. When you pray, He will listen. When you mourn, He will comfort. When you need strengthened, He will provide. When you need joy, He will fill you. He will tell you when to move and when to stay. Incline your ear towards Him, and ask Him what He is saying to you today.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for your goodness! You are so merciful to continually seek out Your people. To continually seek relationship with the Israelites and ultimately with us. Show each of us a place where we could make more room to experience Your Presence. Show us when to move and when to stay put. Whisper into our spirit this morning that You are here and with us. Let us experience You in fresh new ways Jesus. Refresh and refill us for the beautiful week ahead. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
Blessings to you today!
Seek Him and you will find Him..
