Good Morning Gorgeous,
It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new beginning. A great opportunity for renewed resolve. A new day to lean into Jesus and receive what you need to remain standing. Some days, that is the best we can do, rise up and remain standing. Just to steady our feet and stay upright is a total victory. Other days, we are steady and upright already, and God is calling us to step forward. And other days, we are called to RUN ahead into purpose.
Whether today you are working hard just to steady yourself and stand, or you are taking a wobbly step, or you are full on running, God has what you need to stand or walk or run!
Life is seasonal, and very often we are in seasons that differ from the friends, family, and colleagues around us. We are called to different seasons at different times. As you use every ounce of strength to rise up and steady your feet, a friend may be full on running ahead, and that is okay. Breathe that in for a minute, that is okay. You’re not running that race, you’re running your own race and there’s a beautiful truth here. We are not running against or racing against eachother.
We are all called to our own unique destiny that requires us to keep our eyes locked straight ahead on one target: Jesus. As we look to Jesus we find:
Strength to keep going even on the hardest of days.
A light leading the way in the darkest of nights.
A trailblazer clearing a path in the wilderness.
A hand held out to meet us, to hold us up, to lead us forward.
An encourager, a friend who will always be there.
As we keep our eyes steady on Jesus, we meet: A loving Father who cares for our every need: dresses our wounds, feeds us physically and spiritually, encourages us, reminds us who we are, loves on us, prepares us, equips us, forgives us, embraces us, fulfills us, lifts us up onto mountaintops, and propels us forward!
When we choose to move our field of vision off of those in the neighboring lanes and also off of ourselves, and instead lock eyes with Jesus, we find ALL we need.
Hope arises. Resolve is re-ignited. Heels get dug in. Brows are wiped. A strengthening takes place. Shift happens. And the people of God stand firm, steady, and ready to walk or run again.
Wherever you are today, pause and talk to Jesus about your personal needs as you run your race of faith. Make a choice to take your eyes off those in the neighboring lanes. Their race is not for you. You have your own amazing race you’re running. It’s hard to see because you’re in it. But when you look to Jesus, you’ll find everything you need to keep going another day.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your goodness. You are everything we need. Every time. In every season. Every day. Everywhere. It’s only You that is needed. Help us to live out that truth. That when we seek You, we will find You. And when we find You, You will provide for everything we need. Thank you Lord for those promises. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
Blessings Friends!
