You are Carrying what the World Desperately Needs

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh start. A new day has been gifted to us. We are arising to newness and fresh chances. There is opportunity all around. Jesus knew this when He told His disciples that the harvest was plenty but the workers were few. There are people all around you that neeeeeed what you carry.

The kingdom of the Lord is ministered by people. Jesus brought healing and hope to people by interacting with them, talking to them, eating with them, listening to them, and being present with them. Jesus came to earth. The Lord Himself left His seat on high to live in a human body to redeem mankind and make a way for us to be reconciled to the Father. While He walked the earth, He taught us how to live. He gave instructions for what to do after His death. He even promised a helper. He would send the Holy Spirit to live inside of us. The Spirit of the Lord would equip us for every good work, and the Lord would continue to work through people filled with His Spirit.

We are not here on earth to fulfill our own purposes. We are not here to make our lives as comfortable and convenient as possible. We are not here for endless consumption. We are here on holy assignment!

And the people around you at work, at school, at home, in your family, at the grocery store, the salon, the gas station, and everywhere else that you encounter people….. all need you to minister the same hope and healing that Jesus ministered. This is every Christ Follower’s assignment, calling, and responsibility.

We are the ones entrusted with the kingdom. It lives in us and we are to be using it for more than our own personal blessing. We need to speak love everywhere we go. We need to spread light and love and be the salt of the earth. We have the Lord residing on the inside of us! We need to release Him everywhere. Everyone you encounter should leave you with a little Jesus spilled out onto them. And some people that you encounter should leave you radically changed. Jesus still heals. He still speaks. He still performs miracles. He still provides. He still transforms people’s lives. He still leaves the 99 to chase down 1. He still pursues people who have not yet experienced Him. And He reaches people THROUGH people because He lives in us.

Wow. What an honor and great responsibility. We are carrying hope around all day long. We are carrying answers around all day long. We are carrying healing and love around all day long. We are called to release it everywhere. Talk to people with full presence. Listen to their needs. And share the hope of a God who cares for them. Pray with them. Right there on the spot. I know its uncomfortable. We are not here for comfort. Jesus is calling us to grow in Him like the small mustard see. We may feel like we don’t have much to offer. That we are small and ill equipped, but Jesus is equipping us and strengthening us to be like the mature mustard tree. This tree provided shade and rest for the birds. So too can you provide what the world around you needs as you open up and allow people to find rest in your conversation, your encouragement, and your prayers.

You have the healing potion living in you. You are empowered and equipped. When you speak things shift, mountains crumble, things unseen move, and hope is rekindled. You have what the people around you need. Do not hide your light. The world is too dark and it needs what you carry. Release it my friends. Release Jesus’s love and hope all day. Make it a lifestyle to live continually spreading love, light, hope, and healing.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Strengthen us to boldly live as you have commanded us to live. Give us new power and new wells of courage to go forth and be a force of love today. Give us opportunities to speak to others about You and then give us obedient tongues to speak what You want us to say. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Blessings and Boldness!

Vanessa Lynn
