Mining for Treasure

Good Morning Gorgeous,

It’s a brand new day. A fresh new start. Another opportunity to grow, and learn, and stretch, and widen your tent stakes.

We are all stretching right now.

We are doing things outside of our normal routine.

Some of us are extroverts and crave the social environment that we are all distanced from right now.

Some of us are introverts, and yet the days of solitude are becoming too much even for those who crave solace.

Mommies all across the nations have been tasked with becoming their child’s teacher.

Companies are temporarily closing, and people are without work.

Restructuring daily routines to fit all the changes is a real struggle.

Lots of people are working remotely, and the boundaries between work and family time are blending.

It’s a wild ride of emotions that’s for sure.

Yet each of these challenges bring a silver lining. A blessing. A special treasure if you will just mine for it.

Amidst the disruption to your daily routine, you will learn that you are more flexible than you ever gave yourself credit for.

Those of you who shied away from technology are going to come out of this with your tech game strong.

You will be able to hold virtual meet ups, navigate Google Office, and rock online presentations.

The families that were set on super speed( mine included) will get a chance to pause, rest, push reset, and restore.

Families will find ways to get back all they lost in the busyness of life.We will learn that all that running wasn’t necessary or productive.

We will relearn that there is productivity in cutting paper hearts and decorating driveways.

We will innovate and stretch as individuals, families, educators, communities, and nations.

We will overcome this struggle, but we will carry with us a newfound strength, and a deeper sense of home.

And there are many, many more blessings to be found.

There is literally beauty everywhere if only we would have eyes to see it.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Fresh doses of peace are needed for all. I pray on behalf of Your followers everywhere who feel robbed of peace. Restore a mind at rest, a calm heart, and a peaceful spirit. Give us eyes to see beauty. Ears that hear good news even through the gloom and doom. Let us taste Your goodness each and every day that we walk with You.In Jesus’s name, Amen.
